Wait, I am the ONLY one who noticed the word "Girlfriend" above?!?!

Just saw Trainwreck a week ago.

HI-LARIOUS!!

John Cena is a fuckin' FOOL in this movie!

:biglaugh:

Jazz is about as fashionable as Bill Evans beard, dude. Get over it. So is rock n' roll for that matter. Rap seems to a little relevant. But it's getting there.
I would make a friendly bet you have never experienced live Jazz music on the streets of New Orleans during the Mardi Gras.

Do yourself a big favor, and put it on your bucket list.

I want to see The Gift, Trainwreck, and Antman, but I may wait until 2nd run theaters for them.

I'm gonna go see this German flick at Cinema21 this week end:

That Pablo Escobar movie with Benicio Del Torro just came out on Amazon Prime and it was decent. It falls into the same trap that movies like the Last King of Scotland did though, they make up some protagonist that the audience would relate to more when the crazy dictator or drug baron is much more interesting and should be the main focus.

Just saw The Martian. Amazing movie. I loved everything about it. One of the best movies I have seen in a long time.

I want to see Don Cheadle in the new Miles Davis movie, whatever it's called..perfect guy to play him

Black Mass
Sicario
The Martian

I'm planning on seeing Sicario this week. The director, Denis Villeneuve, is quickly becoming one of my all time favorites. Prisoners is one of my favorite movies ever, Enemy was a fantastic mindfuck, and I recently watched his French language film, Incedies, which was also great.

I also want to say that I just watched 2001: A Space Odyssey for the first time and was blown away.. How was that movie made in 1968?! I don't know how people compare Interstellar to it.. 2001 is so much better.

I watched Cinderella Man the other day. Made rocky want to look for Bullwinkle. Highly recommend to all.

This movie was good by the way.

I watched Beasts of No Nation, the first film released on Netflix (it's also in select theaters so that it can be eligible for Oscars), last night and it was amazing. Extremely well made and just a brutal story.

I saw that and thought it looked interesting. After watching the Blacklist I feel like it has a very Dembe vibe to it. I might check it out.

You should, it's one of the best movies I've seen this year for sure.

Is that some kind of porn?

Rubber is the story of Robert, an inanimate tire that has been abandoned in the desert and then suddenly and inexplicably comes to life. As Robert roams the bleak landscape, he discovers that he possesses terrifying telepathic powers that give him the ability to destroy anything he wishes. At first content to prey on discarded objects and small desert creatures, his attention soon turns to humans, especially a beautiful and mysterious woman who crosses his path. Leaving a swath of destruction behind, Robert becomes a chaotic force and truly a movie villain for the ages.

What the fuck.

Is it good?

Dick Tracy: Liked it a lot better than I remembered liking it way back when, which isn't really saying much.

The Phantom: Jesus, Billy Zane is a douche, lol. Entertaining movie, but you'll want to wear an oven mitt so you don't bruise yourself with all the facepalms. I'm fine with suspending disbelief, but suspending disbelief AND the silly purple costume is just asking a little bit too much.

Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb: I really don't understand why I like these movies as much as I do. And I'm ok with that. Robin Williams is fantastic as Teddy Roosevelt.

Rango: Holy crap, I was expecting a kid's movie. Much darker than I thought it would be. Liked it though.

Ghost Rider: I didn't realize how good Nicolas Cage was at doing a Keanu Reeves impersonation. I'm thinking he used PEDs, though. No way he could keep such a dead pan without botox.

Loose Cannons: Pretty danged funny movie. Hackman's widely known to be a brilliant actor, but I still believe he's underrated. I knew I remembered seeing the mother from Last Man Standing in something when she was younger.

The Public Eye: Great movie. Not sure why Pesci doesn't get more love for it. Personally, I blame Barbara Hershey.

High Anxiety: Mel. Fucking. Brooks.

A Dog's Breakfast: Quite possibly my favorite movie of all time. At least until I watch Support Your Local Gunfighter again...

That one looks really intriguing. I can't just watch super intense movies like that out of the blue, though, I need to prepare myself...

Watched the Martian. I had listened to the audio book before seeing the movie.

For the most part I think it was really well done and they stuck to the book pretty closely. Things went off the rails at the end though. They changed a few things and added to the original story. Either way, I would recommend the book and the movie.
