I thought Jolie was horrible in the first movie. Because of that I haven't seen any of the sequels.

Alicia Vikander did far better

Roman J Israel. Denzel was fabulous as usual. Story had a good foundation but they didn't create quite enough tension. Still a decent movie.

Watched Mad Max Fury Road for the third time. I really enjoyed it. Beautiful 3d and Atmos sound.

I didn't really like it the first time, second was ok....third not too shabby.

I'm a huge fan of the Mad Max movies and Fury Road did not disappoint me. If you want beautiful women, violence, hard rock, and guys (and women) kicking ass, then that's the movie for you!

Less trying to figure out wtf is going on and more time enjoying the spectacle of it.

Was pissed he didn't get to drive his car much the first time I saw it.

Escape plan 2 sucks ass

I watched another good western recently, "The Salvation," starring Mads Mikkelsen. It's about a European settler welcoming his wife and son to the 1870s American west. Dark and brutal events happen shortly after.

Thanks, I'll check that one out.

Also, I went and saw my favorite movie The Good the Bad and the Ugly at Hollywood Theater on Sunday.

I've seen it and it was good.

I recently saw Kingsmen: The Golden Circle for the second time. I enjoyed it yet again.

You should drop by, I've got the Original Kingsman and the sequel on my DVD. I'll even have your favorite drink, should you feel the need for refreshment. Bring your dad.

Who doesn't like guys kicking ass?

My favorite modern Western was 3:10 to Yuma with Christian Bale and Russell Crowe....remake of the original...great western...I bought a copy...one I can watch more than once

There was a minor bit of Dunkirk that was more personal than historical.

If the entire point of it had been about one of them trying anything evil or ruthless to survive it might have been more entertaining. As it was it was just a well filmed near documentary. Nolan is still a great filmmaker.
I enjoyed it. I thought the entire point was the horror of war.

That was a good one. It's a rare case where I like the original and the remake. If you like Christian Bale you should watch another one of his westerns, "Hostiles."

I saw that one, it missed the mark for me, but it was OK. Could have been really good.

The Sicario: Day of the Soldado wasn't bad .

Leave No Trace was good, not as amazing as reviews make it out to be, but I liked it.

A Quiet Place.

Maybe completely stupid if you think about it but I loved every second of it.
It was solid if you buy into it but if you examine it afterwards, there are so many fucking plot holes. Apparently they will be doing a sequel to it which is all fine but I still don't understand how shit works in that universe. Cool idea though just not thought out very properly.

Been trying to see Hereditary for months. Finally saw it yesterday. It was intense and crazy AF, which I loved. Really slow burn. I checked the time twice. I think it has gotten mixed reviews among friends who have seen it. I was glad I watched it though. I also think this is a good movie to see in theater. It makes it more memorable of an experience.

Just watched Ninotchka for the first time. Billy Wilder FTW! Never seen Garbo in a movie before - can sort of get the fuss. Also, Bebe Neuwirth's Lilith in Cheers is a total Garbo impersonation from the first half of this movie.
