Liked the Last Jedi more than most people I suppose. Wife didn't like it much, it was just a good mindless eye candy movie for me.

Just watched Downsizing with Matt Damon. Really interesting to me and not at all what I would do if directing. Not a spectacular movie by any stretch but kept my attention.

Flight of Dragons. I highly recommend. Especially if you're into fantasy flicks...or even if you're not. It is animated, but don't let that turn you off. It's based on a book by Peter Dickinson (who is actually referenced in the movie...meta). First saw this as an ABC Saturday Night Movie back in like 86 or 87, taped it and watched many times thereafter (even with all the 80s commercials).

Got the DVD a few years back. This movie is great on all fronts, from the animation, to the voice cast (features Jon Ritter, James Earl Jones, and Harry Morgan), to the plot. It has lots of science philosophy in it, which is one reason I love it so much. (Even covers DRAGON science!)

Heck, if anything just get stoned and watch :)

-signed,
neeeeeeerd!

When I was in college I got royally stoned on brownies and smoke. My buddy then took me and a couple other guys to see "The Groove Tube". The opening was so eerie that I almost had a panic attack. It reminded me of 2001 A Space Odyssey. Then a few minutes into the movie it got so funny that I laughed my ass off for nearly every minute of the movie. If you want to get stoned and enjoy one of the best comedies I've ever seen, I highly recommend The Groove Tube.

Also saw A Quiet Place. Really good. Get prepared to read subtitles. Clever film that is very intense. Good running time. The end is perfect (by that I mean that they picked the right tempo and spot to end the movie).

Annihilation - I liked this one, I liked the ending
Goldstone - well done crime film set in the Australian Outback
Foxtrot - technically a good Israeli film, emotionally charged, but I just wasn't feeling it
A Quiet Place - pretty good flick, but one of the plot devices pissed me off though

A Quiet Place is really good.

I absolutely love the concept behind it, and think it's a fresh and innovative way to storytell. I'm going to wait until it comes out to rent, because I be a too scurred to sit in a movie theater in complete silence for that long lol. But I love the challenge they took for this, and want to support that.

Subtitles are great anyway.

Watching a lot of old stuff recently. Watched the entire 70s run of Columbo. That kind of counts as movies because they're all movie length. AND, the first one ever (well, apart from the two pilots) was directed by STEVEN SPIELBERG (and written by Steven Bochco):

Peter Falk is AWESOME.

Another actual movie: Ball of Fire. Barbara Stanwyck and Gary Cooper with a script by Billy Wilder that is like a dry run for (greatest movie of all time) Some Like It Hot. Check it out - 5 stars!

Expectations make movies so hard to judge. Wife rented The Greatest Showman.

I love Hugh Jackman and don't love musicals.

I loved every minute of that fucking movie, don't know what to tell ya.

Just watched "Get Out" last night. Thought it was great. Lived up to the expectations.

Beirut - OK if you like the genre
Lean on Pete - pretty good, not as upbeat as I expected

Randomly went to a movie I'd never heard of called "Finding Your Feet". British drama/romance about people in their 50's/60's still having lives in a world that is no longer geared toward them. Clearly targeted toward an older demographic, but well-done and enjoyable.

Will keep eye out for it

I hate that! Can't understand some of this stuff. Just yesterday, I was over at the Verizon store and there was a young woman in there, nice looking.
But damn! She looked as if had a bad fall, head long, right into my fishing tackle box, nose first. She didn't even seem to know she still had some hanging
from obvious places! Geez, it seems like it would be very annoying.

You

They remove skin from the ball sack/labia and graft it to the ear hole.

That's funny because I tell my wife that guys shouldn't be allowed to have an earring that exceeds the diameter of their junk. If everyone followed that rule you could advertise with it.

Went and saw ready player 1 last week. It was entertaining, but I wish they would have done more with it. Wasn't as good as I hoped it would be.

Got an hour left of The Black Panther.

Cultural significance? 9/10
Movie quality? 2/10

So fucking stupid. People must be literally afraid to criticize this garbage.

So I watch every Marvel movie and have since Iron man, even before with the different hulks and spider mans. We all know Marvel movies aren't really that great, they are mostly just entertaining and I am a sucker for superhero shit. I was excited for this movie. I really was. Then I saw it. It is one of the worst marvel movies made and thats saying a lot considering most of them are pretty generic. This unfortunately had to do with the weirdness we have going on in society and the fact it was an all black cast. I saw everybody saying it was the best marvel movie or top 3 in the MCU. Uhhhh yeah not even close. It was garbage and I got bored of it. Glad somebody feels the same.
