Would that be Isiah's worst move as a GM in NY? Or is it something else?
 
Definitely the absolute worse. There was at least an iota of sense in some of his previous moves.

I think the Curry trade is right up there, too. How many first rounders did he lose for that bust?

I think every move that Thomas made was crap though. He was easily the worst GM in basketball during his tenure in NY.

It was a bad move and we definitely didn't need to give up any first rounders, much less an unprotected one. But Curry did have stretches where he was serviceable. In 06-07, he averaged 20/7 and was fifth in free throw attempts. Plus the Bulls didn't make out too well with our draft picks anyway - Thomas and Noah are both looking like busts. And the Bulls pick at #23 got us Wilson Chandler, who is looking like a stud.

The difference between that trade and the Jerome James signing is simple. The Jerome James signing had absolutely no positives.
