LMAO. Seriously? Should we trust someone who has an avatar of Pritchard holding a GM jersey as being an unbiased source of opinion on Cho? What magical trade did Cho pass up, which would have made us better in the short/long term? You don't know. Maybe he's been offered nothing but crap because everyone in the NBA knows the Blazers are in a bind with all the injury issues. Don't act like Bayless would really be a difference maker on this team. Andre & Mils are taking all the PG time, while Rudy & Matthews are taking all the SG time, not sure where Bayless fits in. He wasn't happy or consistent as a backup. It is a tragedy we don't have his 9.6PTS & 2TOs to help us out.

As opposed to reading a post from a person with a seal for their avatar? Hey let's all start evaluating post based upon the posters avatar. Because the avatar means so god damned much! :ohno:

Cho banked on injury riddled players and it failed miserably. He said this team was "one or two" moves away from being a contender.

His plan failed miserably.

Actually, that plan was KP's, not Cho's. Cho said early on that he was going to take until the midpoint of the season to evaluate the team and formulate a plan. He's done exactly what he said. The only problem I see is that he's not acting in a way that fits the "fix-it-immediately" demands of unreasonable fans.

Well we will find out what he is made up of soon enough. Since he has already all but said a trade will be made, now he has to back it up.

Cho stated that in July with Roy seemingly healthy and Oden on the verge of making his comeback this season. At that time it would be hard to disagree with his statement. Even if Cho had psychic powers, it probably wouldn't have been of much use. Roy is BYC, trading him even if he was healthy would be a difficult enough. Expecting to get anything of worthwhile value back from Oden would have been a pipe dream. Trading Camby when you have no other Centers would be entirely foolish. I am not sure what you think Cho should have done. He didn't have much choice with the lot he was given and had no way to anticipate the coming injuries.

Here is a question, can you showcase a post you made back in the Summer highlighting the urgency with which you felt Cho should trade Roy, Oden & Camby before they became injured? I would be thoroughly impressed. My gut suggests you're playing Capt'n Hindsight.

Camby could play out the rest of his career here and not help us win a title. Why not try and get someone who might?

Look, I agree with you when it comes to Przybilla, Miller...heck anyone else not named Aldridge\Batum\Matthews...and I would even deal ANY one of those guys if the deal was too good to pass up....same goes for Camby for that matter....

But getting some stiff like Ronny Turiaf and a mid\late 1st rounder for Camby would be stupid on POR part....If they can get a very good return, then yeah of course...trade him...but outside of that...keep him

Who else is going to start at center for this team? Sean Marks? Bank it all on Oden returning and playing 30+ minutes a night? Chris Johnson? I don't think so....

Contrary to the Mixum's of the world...this isn't going to be a TOTAL rebuild...If that were the case, then wave goodbye to Aldridge, Matthews and anyone not named Batum probably....acquire young players and picks...suck for 2-3 years...get a few high lotto picks and start over....but all indications are they are NOT going to do that....

They have 3 players who are fairly young and still have upside (Aldridge\Batum\Matthews), EVERYONE ELSE at this point are all moveable pieces to try and acquire as many young players\picks as they can and hope they get lucky in the draft or through free agency and hope that some of thier own players keep improving....

I think that is the plan...try and remain competitive while still compiling\stockpiling assets\players\picks....

A guy like Camby can greatly help you with that....I am unconvinced that Przybilla does, and it is questionable regarding Miller....

Camby still has some gas in the tank he can help the team stay competitive, he fills an area of GREAT need, where there is LITERALLY no one else of reliability (even moreso after Przybilla is dealt)...he fits well with Aldridge, he is good with younger players, he likes it here and is not itching to move and his play on the court is still above average...to deal a guy like that for a middling pick and middling player would be counterproductive at this point....

That is unless you think he can fetch a top tier player? Which I find to be highly questionable.....

Hmmm, a post critical of the new GM posted by someone who is using a pic of the old GM as their avatar. Could this person have been a fan of the old GM? Could this person perhaps be biased towards this old GM? It's a strong possibility... Why would someone choose Kevin Pritchard as their avatar unless they liked the guy?

Also it's a fact I like seals, there you know my deep secret. So there is some truth in avatars after all.

So the fragrant one's BIG move is to deal Joel?

Not trading Miller or Camby is a joke, just like our front office.

... or how about the joke being people demanding a trade to just trade some guys. And does anyone else realize that altho Andre is an expiring deal this year he is worth more next year, his deal is non guaranteed and worth more money, he can be traded and simply cut. so it wold probably be more beneficial to not trade him at the deadline like some people here demand.

Should we trust any poster with any avatar of being unbiased? I assume that every poster has a bias. Do you think we're all Walter Kronkite or Bob Woodward, and the the posters with an agenda are a rarity?

What if a poster has an avatar of Brandon Roy or Greg Oden? Does that make them a gimp? :ohno:

Better keep that baby seal avatar away from my avatar or, well, you know...

Hey baby seal, you want to come with me and Greg Oden, we're going clubbin'.... Hey Baby seal, why are you running away?

Sure everyone has bias, but it certainly weakens your position if you come off as an apologist or fanboy. Looking at his avatar & reading his past posts suggests he has a man-crush on KP or is being very tongue-in-cheek about it...

Look at RoyToy's post back on June 28th
Miller/Bayless/Johnson
Roy/Rudy/Williams
Batum/Babbitt/Cunningham
Aldridge/Pendergraph/Claver
Oden/Camby

Doesn't look too terribly unbalanced. A lot of those guys are tweeners. I suppose you could still use a true backup 4.

So it was an okay team until Cho took over & didn't trade it away?

BOOOOO!

I'd watch your back sir...

I guess I'm just surprised that someone on this board would be shocked that RoyToy would have a KP bias, as if it is some sort of board breakthrough. Perhaps if you had been here for more than 4 days before calling people out, I wouldn't have noticed it. I think you misrepresented one of my own posts within your first 5 posts on this board. :)

Caught half of Quick on MSP this morning.

He said he expects Roy back right after all star break. Roy is now getting to work out 25 minutes a day . .. I'm pretty sure he said 25 minutes, which seems like a short amount of time.

Anything else?

So Miller will be dealt right after the all star break? Good to know

If Roy replaces Miller, my estimate of our final wins goes down. Roy has no wheels, but everyone defers to him. It will elevate a bottom player to the top, like having everyone stand around while Marks does his thing with the ball.

After listening to Quick this morning I didn't come away any more or less sure about what the team really plans to do than what has been speculated for months. At best it sounds like Cho would like to trade vets for picks, but because the team is so depleted he can't trade Miller, Camby or Joel without getting a one-for-one position replacement ... which makes trades somewhat unlikely (or least less likely).

That's what I thought. Thanks for that.
