So Mueller follows the law and the OLC’s ruling that a sitting President cannot be indicted. He proceeds to outline multiple ways in which the President potentially obstructed justice and instead of making a ruling (which would then be attacked for being biased from either side), allows the data and facts he collected to be presented to Congress and leaves the final decision up to them, our elected officials. Mueller respected our constitution and did it the President’s way AND STILL you guys act like nothing is wrong. Have you even read a single page of this fucking report?

We’re fucking Americans. The saddest part of this entire fiasco is that the right has dug so far in on the side of Trump (regardless of if he’s telling the truth or not) that they refuse to see how the institutions they hold so dear are being rotted from the inside.

I don’t care if it was a Republican or a Democrat in office, if you’ve spit on the law of the land like this Administration has done for the past two years you can get the FUCK out of office. It’s not about who is right or who is wrong, it’s about doing what is right at this point.

The same people who in this thread are acting like someone who was given one of those novelty lotto tickets that makes you think you won a million dollars as a joke.

I agree with your last sentence. Because an entire 1/2 of the country is willing to throw away EVERYTHING they previously stood for (following the word of the constitution, smaller government, etc) to back someone whose divided a country and their too prideful to say they were wrong?

Did you even read the report? How/why it was started? I’d love to hear your source on why it’s a sham or “fabricated”. I really would. However, I’m guessing I’ll take the work of multiple respected FBI agents over a two year period instead of your likely right-wing news source.

In the end, I think the country will be fine. I think we can heal from this, and honestly I think it will be a positive. This time in our history will serve as the UV light that shines on the people who are truly holding this country back from its full potential.

absolutely correct...one should never grasp a straw but rather gently hold it between the thumb and forefinger unless one's hands are so tiny it requires a firm grip....you need to hear this....Trump campaigned on lies, fears, lock her up narratives, insults and division.....you get what you vote for and your guy just simply sucks and never could be trusted to be honest about anything or loyal to anyone.

“It's clear from the report today that there's a lot of political interference that was attempted [by Trump],” Sarah Longwell, executive director of Republicans for the Rule of Law, told Newsweek. “This is not the end of the Mueller investigation, this is just the beginning. It looks like the Mueller report really is a road map for Congress. And that there was no exoneration, definitely obstruction.”

The group, which aims to “protect [Mueller's] investigation from political interference by the president,” was established in March 2017 when reports began emerging of Trump's intentions to potentially fire Mueller. The documents released today revealed that Trump had indeed tried to dismiss Mueller in June 2017, but that then-White House Counsel Don McGahn refused, saying he would rather resign.

Over the weekend, Republicans for the Rule of Law will air an advertisement on Fox News urging GOP lawmakers to hold Trump accountable for “lying” and “obstructing justice,” like Republicans had done with former Democratic President Bill Clinton more than 20 years ago, when a GOP-led House succesfully impeached Clinton on charges of perjury and obstruction of justice. Clinton was subsequently acquitted on all charges after a trial in the Senate.

“The Mueller Report revealed multiple instances of President Trump lying and obstructing justice. Twenty years ago, Republicans denounced a Democratic president for lying and obstructing justice,” the 34-second advertisement’s opening reads, before cutting to old clips of GOP lawmakers condemning Clinton on Capitol Hill. “Republicans stood for the rule of law then. We should stand for the rule of law now,” it concludes.

The advertisement’s goal, according to Longwell, is to “encourage speaking up from Republicans."

"They need to grapple with what’s in [the Mueller report,] which is incredibly disturbing," she said. “We're not urging impeachment or any kind of action other than Congress, specifically Republicans, should join the Democrats, to investigate the matter for fully and come to some conclusion about accountability.”

Within the clip is footage of “Republicans talking about how you cannot lie to the American people, you cannot obstruct justice, you must tell the truth, that the president's not above the law, and we just believe those same rules very much still apply to this president,” said Longwell, adding that the group wants to see Republicans “act like a congressional body with equal powers and to provide a check on a president who clearly from this report does not respect the rule of law.”

Mueller clarified in the report that his probe could not establish that Trump’s team had conspired with Kremlin officials to interfere with the 2016 U.S. presidential election. The investigation did not ultimately make a determination on whether or not Trump obstructed justice. However, the special counsel did conclude that Trump failed to obstruct justice "largely because" his aides "declined to carry out orders.”

“If we had confidence after a thorough investigation of the facts that the President clearly did not commit obstruction of justice, we would so state,” the Mueller report stated. “We are unable to reach such a judgment.”

“The President's efforts to influence the investigation were mostly unsuccessful, but that is largely because the persons who surrounded the President declined to carry out orders or accede to his requests. While this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him," it added.

Robert Kagan was John McCain's, Hillary Clinton's and John Kerry's foreign policy advisor.

All three are blatantly non-apologetic Deep State pro-war lobbyists with a personal goal of world domination by The New World Order. Together, the three are credited with tipping the scales of opinion inside the government and in the media to enable the overthrow of Saddam Hussein by the US.

I have not read the report. The purpose of the report was to find russia/trump collusion, which it didn't find. 10 hypothetical maybe instances of obstruction of justice? BS to begin with. Trumps hands are relatively clean.

Respected FBI agents? They are all impartial scumbags hell bent on getting the President.

Comey?
Strzok?
Lisa Page?

They all need to be investigated and behind bars.

The whole thing was based on the Steele Dossier that Hillary paid for.

Obama spied on the Trump campaign. Are we just going to forget about that?

Exactly. You haven't read a page of the report. The report found 10 instances in which there was obstruction, but because the OLC and the administration are toeing the line of "you cannot indict a sitting President", Mueller decided to follow those orders and did not pursue an indictment. Instead he outlined all of the facts and left the decision to pursue impeachment and indictments to Congress....you know...respecting how our government fucking works.

Oh you mean the Steele Dossier that was originally started and paid for by Republicans when they were running against Trump and that Clinton then starting running after he became the nominee?

Give me a fucking break.

The Steele Dossier wasn't the start of this...it was an ally, Austrailia, coming to us stating they had evidence of something sinister based on Papadopoulos spouting off once he had a few drinks in him. But hey! Let's ignore an ally trying to make sure our country isn't being influenced by FUCKING RUSSIA and believe the guy who is at the center of it all.

Again...that's in the report as well.

:biglaugh: Sounds about right. Ignore the facts I brought up. I'm all good man. My company saved money this year on taxes due to the tax plan...I've got a son on the way this year, my biggest concern is making sure this world is a better place for him to grow up in.
