I wasn't negotiating with him. I asked him a question but also that question needs to be seen by others.

It was an unusual situation, buttercup, it's not your standard personal insult.

It was offensive to the person being called it. They asked the person using it to stop. And the person who was using it agreed to stop.

I think it's a great example of this community with a little help from staff coming together and ending a problem.

To go back and edit most of that away would seem to take away a little bit of the progress that I feel was made.

Staff playing favorites would mean this was completely ignored by them. It wasn't. It was addressed by staff and a solution was found.

I agree that it was being used as an insult. But I see this as a very good example of people resolving a problem by communicating. So much so that in a different thread I saw the person being called buttercup inviting the person who called him one to a Blazer game. That type of resolution is very rare here.

Alright Jon, Thats BS. I posted that I wasn't offended. I was't insulted. I don't give a fuck what anyone calls me. I give a fuck if someone is trying to insult me but then denies it playing innocent. That's the BS that everyone here has an issue with. The constant denial of behavior. Again, bullshit. This buttercup crap happen a month or two back too and I made note of it. I was laughed and mocked at by the guy calling me it and the mods didn't do shit. It was clearly meant to be insulting and to try to get a rise out of me. The only thing that gets a rise out of me is guys who cant be honest and own up to thier behavior. Cup is the second person on here who Ive had a long standing issue with for this reason and this reason only. Not because of anything that was said to me or I was called or what not. Its the sidestepping of shit that is shitty around here.
