It is telling that a man, who grew up with power during apartheid, and seems to miss that aspect of society, came to America to find success.

And if anyone has doubts about his underlying racist tendencies, just look up all of the discrimination lawsuits filed against Tesla from black employees. It is not pretty. Fuck Elon.

His space company developed the first reusable rockets. The cost to put a payload in space has cratered since then. They are developing the first fully reusable spaceship, which will crater prices further. This toy is enabling a freight train to space. People in the industry are absolutely awe-struck or terrified.

SpaceX does use government money, but they typically do far more with about half as much as the competition.

And Tesla completely revolutionized the electric car industry. Teslas (electric cars in general) explode far less often than gasoline powered vehicles... They have developed the best charger technology, as well as pushed battery development, further driving prices down.

I'm not a Musk fan boy, but what he has accomplished is very impressive.

I feel like Musk has kind of addressed this. The laws of the country are pretty clear. He has said that anything that breaks the law of the country should be removed. Anything in a grey area should stay.

So simply allow each country to select a board to mod what is viewable in their own country...

Free speech is Nazis can have their own website. Not that all websites have to give Nazis a voice.

I think if they want to do that and can be successful they are fine. It's a private company so they should be able to what they want.

I would like to see this too. I haven't seen any direct racist behavior from him.

I will say it looks like he is going to allow racism on Twitter, and if he does then he makes himself part of that.

I think it’s mostly about his likely decision to allow racists back on Twitter and perhaps being raised in apartheid South Africa and the multiple lawsuits by black Tesla employees but just spitballing

Isn't judging somebody based on where they are born prejudice? Shouldn't we judge people based on actual evidence of their actions?

I'm asking for actual evidence... I'm assuming you have some judging by the conviction in your response. Would you care to share it?

When he allows people on who are racist (he will) in the name of “free speech” , thereby tolerating it, he is supporting it, or agreeing with it. We will have to wait and see. The excuse of “free speech” to allow hate speech will be common. He’s already made plenty of statements on his own about his thoughts on the matter. Why is it that the MAGA people are so excited about Musk buying Twitter? Hm.
