June 29th to July 3rd. He is around 30 years old, a sports fan from back east. What are some things to do with him. There are no timbers games, blazers are out of season. We will hike, but what else?

Drive up to Seattle for a mariners game if they are playing

Take him up to Ski Bowl. You can Alpine Slide down, mountain bike down and Malibu Grand Prix is moving up there.

Deep sea fishing would also be fun.

See if HCP is out of town and you can take over to his house and get him laid.

When I read your post I instantly thought of this -

good ideas, but deep sea fishing would be getting more pricey then I want.

He had issues with his immune system as a child, I don't know if his body could handle the shock.

If you really want to do a day trip go to Crater Lake. Do some hiking there.

Love crater lake, but it's a bit far. Also, I'm going there later this summer with my nephew. There are a ton of beautiful hikes closer, so I'm sure we will do some of them.

Deep sea fishing is only like $80 a person.

I went with HomerLovesKoolaid during spring break and had a blast. I pm'd him to tell you the name of the company he uses. He knows the guy who runs it.

Rafting trip, check out river drifters you can get on the Deschutes, White Salmon or upper Sandy for about $100.

I would
Take him golfing down at Bandon Dunes
Drive to Victoria BC via the ferry
Deep Sea Fishing
Adventure Park and Alpine Slide at ski bowl....or is there still snow?
Rafting

These are great, any suggestions for days we stay in Portland?

Salmon fishing
Rafting
Biking in Ptd
Walking in NW Ptd; Pearl District; Hawthorne Area
Microbrewry
Speed boat at OMSI
Golfing at Pumpkin Ridge
Hike Multnomah Falls
Hood River (watch parasailers, enjoy the drive and small town)
Coast is 70 mins away

Multnomah Falls might be nice?
Rose gardens?
Rent a sail boat on the Columbia for a day?
Catch a Timbers or Thorns game? (I hate soccer, but most don't)

Dear God:

I'll PM you the fishing info. Pretty sure it's $75 for a bottom fishing trip.
Lots of fun.

that sounds either really good, or really bad.

She's cute but she tells everyone she's a lesbian. Not sure if she is or she just tells everyone that so 20 guys aren't hitting on her the entire fishing trip.

I'll preempt her announcement by telling everyone I'm a lesbian.

EDIT: by the way, is my Avatar OK? does it cross the line, should I take it down?

Playing the cubs on the 30th, good idea. I haven't gone to a baseball game in 25 years. What type of tickets should I get? How much?

Go on StubHub. By that weekend, you'll be able to get lower deck tickets for ~$30. Last year, I got field level tickets on the 3rd base side for $30 in August. Literally front row where you can reach out on the field when foul balls come your way.

On a similar note to the fishing, you can go crabbing for less money at the coast, bring a cooler full of ice, and drive back to Portland for a crab boil that night.

That's a unique experience for most people visiting here.
