efault2005 Season RecapWell the Packers season started off and things were not looking well for the team. With many players injured including RB Ahman Green, RB Najeh Davenport, WR Javon Walker, WR Terrence Murphy and CB Jason Horton the Packers were left thin at running back and wide receiver. The Packers did not start off very well losing their first four games before defeating the New Orleans Saints in week five. After their bye week in week 6 the Packers lost a pair of games before defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers. After the Steelers game the Packers lost another pair of games before going on a six winning streak to finish off the season. The Packers finished with a record of 8-8 which was good enough for 2nd place in the division but not good enough to make the playoffs. The Washington Redskins went on the win the Super Bowl with a final score of 14-7 over the New England Patriots.Results1)Lions 3-42 Loss2)Browns 16-20 Loss3)Buccaneers 20-30 Loss4)Panthers 22-37 Loss5)Saints 19-13 Win6)BYE7)Vikings 7-62 Loss8)Bengals 17-40 Loss9)Steelers 28-17 Win10)Falcons 10-23 Loss11)Vikings 14-44 Loss12)Eagles 33-27 Win13)Bears 27-14 Win14)Lions 17-13 Win15)Ravens 26-20 Win16)Bears 34-30 Win17)Seahawks 38-28 WinOff-seasonPlayers RetiringQB Brett FavreFB William HendersonLS Rob DavisRestricted FAKenny Peterson 1yr/1.43mRe-signings (Length/Salary/Bonus)Craig Nall 5yr/3.20m/450kAhman Green 3yr/15.00m/3.00mTony Fisher 3yr/5.37m/1.02mAntonio Chatman 2yr/2.18m/300kBubba Franks 1yr/3.34m “Franchise Tag”Chris White 2yr/2.84m/520kGrey Ruegamer 3yr/8.38m/1.65mCullen Jenkins 5yr/9.80m/1.80mGrady Jackson 2yr/9.76m/1.80mColin Cole 4yr/4.28m/560kRoy Manning 3yr/2.56m/300kParis Lenon 2yr/6.03m/540lReleasedWR Andrae ThurmanCB Jason HortonSS Todd FranzRT Kevin BarryRB Najeh DavenportCB Jerron WishomI will be adding tons of information from the offseason soon so check back later today!!!
