No, this is not an exclusive or anything haha and I do hope he is here to wear the red and back come the start of the season but just thought I would relay a story about when I met Dame 6 years ago.

Blazers were playing at Charlotte, and everytime they do I of course go. Now, usually I have to settle for the upper tier due to the prices, but this time I had just gotten a raise at work so I said heck with it and got courtside seats and VIP privileges.

Doing the warmups, a ball got away from Dame and rolled over to me and I know most of the time they have guys go collect them, but this time he did himself and noticed my Weber State jersey I was wearing(Didn't go there of course lol, just thought it was cool to wear being a Blazers fan). We talked for a few minutes about the season(At this point, both teams were on a bit of a struggle), I told him no I did not go to Weber just supporting him, he laughed about that, and then after another couple minutes or so, shook my hand and went back to getting warm.

Was a fantastic moment for me to say the least haha and he did not have to stand there and chat with a complete stranger but he did.

Regardless of what happens in the next week, next month, or whenever, Dame will always be the best player I personally have ever seen play for the Blazers. He plays with his heart on his sleeve, and wants what is best for this franchise. Do I blame him for not wanting to play with a bunch of youngsters? No, I do not. He has more than earned the right to expect some vets to help him.

Hopefully Cronin and company make that happen, but if they don't, Dame is a Blazer legend and can't wish him nothing else but good luck and a bright future and to take it easy on us when we face you again haha.
