My take so far this season

1.) Nate is uncomfortable with playing inside.

2.) As long as Nate is coach, I think Oden will never develop to his full potential. Possibly even leave to a team that wants to utilize him better. I'm serious here.

3.) Nate has used the 90's Seattle offense almost to a carbon copy. I've just watched some old Sonic games.

4.) Roy lost weight to be faster at SG, then Nate tosses him at SF.

5.) KP will never have the balls to get rid of Nate, even if Nate isn't the right man for the job.

6.) Blazer fans may seem like the "Sky is Falling" but there is no other fans as passionate about their NBA team like the Blazers.

7.) Some people that get bashed in this forum off their criticism actually knows basketball.

8.) We will eventually get clicking on the offensive end, but maybe mid season. Be ready for a lot of complaining.

9.) Blazers will be one of the top 3 teams in the West

10.) Blazers will make it to the WCF.

never thought about that. its funny people think that roy shouldnt shoulder the load of being a full time pg, but they have no problem with him defending sf's all game.

Yep, in fact with him weighing at a whopping 205, is more of a body of a PG, than a SF. I would rather him be a PG than SF. But I would much rather him be a SG, especially seeing Monte take him to school last night.

This may seem harsh or wrong as a fan. But I really hope they fall on their arse again tonight. If they win, they pull themselves out of the hot water. In the long run, they don't learn anything. Changes doesn't happen. Some of the old bad habits they have created and played with continues to happen. But if they continue to lose, it just illuminates the fact there are issues that need to be dealt with.

If the guys looked at and played the game the right way. I wouldn't feel so harsh about it. But there are problems. And those problems won't be cured by coming away with meaningless victories like the one tonight.

The sooner we admit to the idea there is a problem. The faster it will be corrected. That's what I want. No more prolonging the inevitable.

Yes it's wrong to think that, but I understand why you think that. I guess the "real" tragedy is that their coach doesn't see it. They would rather keep certain players happy, while the ones that will actually get them to the next level are buried only averaging 25 minutes a game. But the minutes alone aren't the only problem.

The players are on the floor and aren't getting utilized. How can Oden be 80% from the field from the inside (which not only gives you points, but controls the game). You take him immediately out when he got two quick fouls, both that you expect your big man to take if they get beat.

Oh by the way, If KP doesn't have the nads to remove Nate. He ought to be removed as well.

Adding more to this. Mainly because he hasn't shown any nads to close the kind of deals needed to improve this team. He's awfully good at sitting on his hands.

I don't think there is a "meaningless victory". One more "meaningless victory" last year and maybe we make the second round or even the WCF.

As much as I doubt the value of the three guard lineup, I don't find it inevitable that it will be proven a bad move. I'd rather be wrong about it--and have the Blazers keep winning--than have the team fall on its face to MAKE the coach change.

Ideally, the team would win and Nate would figure out that the team is not optimized by starting--and playing 35 minutes a game--Mr. Steve Blake.

It's the three guard lineup I'm talking about.. It's the system. The coach. There are so many issues on this team that need to be addressed, yet they won't be with coming away with a victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

For this team to take a step forward, there has to be a change up top. At coach. Until that happens, you will see this team play withthe kind of fire and lapses they had last night.

i have to agree for a while i have felt that nate is basically what that coach before ramsey got here.
