Yes, he's inconsistent, frustrating, and plays little or no defense, but:
--When Nachbar doesn't play, the Nets are 1-6 (includes the game he played just 6 seconds)
--When Nachbar plays between 10-15 minutes, the Nets are 2-2
--When Nachbar plays between 15-20 minutes, the Nets are 9-9
--When Nachbar plays between 20-25 minutes, the Nets are 8-6
--When Nachbar plays more than 25 minutes, the Nets are 6-11.
I think that last one can be explained away, because it indicates that Carter or RJ probably aren't playing as much as they should be.
As for the others . . . it's interesting that the Nets are a .500 team when he gets regular minutes, despite his weaknesses.
He obviously fills an important role that has been irreplaceable when he has been injured. The question, then, is: do you bring him back, or do you try to replace him with someone better?
