My sense of humor is legendary. However, I probably should have included a smiley. :)

My intelligence can go either way.

Roy.

Everyone else.

Most people who understand the game see this, but I can appreciate the kids around here who only look at stats.

I'm not sure whats worse. Someone acting sanctimonious and thinking they know what they're talking about, or someone acting sanctimonious and not realizing they have no idea what they're talking about.

Please. Perhaps you just have no fucking idea of what you're talking about.

I don't understand how anyone can think Joel has been more important than Roy. If Joel's Grandmama is still sane, I'd bet even she would say Joel is not anywhere close to being this team's MVP than Roy. Take out Roy and this team top 3 best offense in the entire league would go down the toilet. Take out Joel, and this team bottom 5 worst defense would be bottom 3 worst. In other word, no big fucking deal. It is the offense that has been winning us games, not our crappy defense.

What a joke it is to say a role player like Joel is more important than a legit star like Roy. Fucking stupid.

Well, at least we know how you feel about the subject.

Understanding Oden's out, if Joel's not in there, add about 5-7 more points per game against the Blazers. That's a boatload of lost games. The Starting Center would be who. Like, Frye? Hmmm................

Good point. But who's the starting SG if Roy is out?

Ok, so you say Rudy.

The drop off of talent between Roy and Rudy is more than the drop off of talent between Joel and Frye.

OK, yeah, it was a good way to pass some time before tomorrow's game. :)

Nonetheless, I'll concede to you guys. Give me this much, though. Joel is the "unsung' hero of the team?

How anyone would say that a solid role player like Joel is more important than a legit top 10 player in the league is beyond me.

I suppose I'm beyond you, then. :drumroll:

Nonetheless, see above. :cool2:

I whole heartily agree. Joel has been rock solid on this team.

And on top if it, you insults those who hold this position.

Sorry. I guess I had melted chocolate on my fingers. The dirty dealer meant no harm. :)

Roy
Aldridge
Odenbilla

There is no clear-cut third player to me. The center spot has been a major strength for Portland, due to the efforts of both Przybilla and Oden. Przybilla alone isn't enough to be a true impact player but, for much of the season, the center spot in total has been an impact position.

I agree. I have been very pleased with Greg when he has been in. When he hasn't, Joel has done a pretty good job of filling in for him, especially defensively. Batum would be the other player in the running for the third spot for me.

I think we've gotten MVP performances out of almost all of our players. The Nets game was a good example. So many heros: Joel's 5 blocks, Outlaw's double double, LMA's 7 offensive rebounds, Blake's big threes, Roy's MJ-like performance, Batum's career night, and even Frye stepped up with some big shot making when we needed it.

Anybody who put Oden as a team MVP above Rudy or Outlaw lost a bit of credibility in my eyes.

Przy? Maybe, but Oden? Come on now.

Little late to the party, but here goes:

2nd place is not even close.

We would be talking about our odds in the upcoming lottery right now without Roy.

The Blazers are a VERY young team, with a couple of role player vets - Joel and Blake. Roy is not only the offensive driver of this team, and the 4th quarter scorer, but the "experienced confidence" on this team that calms everyone down and gives them the idea that they have a shot to pull out most games.

Without Roy, our team would fold like a cheap tent in a hurricane in all these 4th quarters we had to pull out.
