I guess all id say is when Kevin Love was asked about re-signing in Cleveland he said. He will yes and if could do it now he would.

I don't think Aldridge or any other player would be like Hell no I'm not resigning here! They will always tell you what you want to hear even if it's not the truth. But I hope thats not the case.

Hasn't Aldridge already said he wants to resign and retire as the best blazer ever?

He then said don't ask him about it during the season.

He's an idiot for asking, obviously. This was all clearly addressed by Lamarcus before the season because he doesn't want to be addressing it during the season.

"I'm happy to stay, happy to be here, happy with the direction the team has gone the last year or two," Aldridge told The Oregonian on Tuesday. "This has no impact on my interest in staying in Portland. I just want to get a five-year deal. I feel like that's the best decision on my part."

Aldridge told The Oregonian that holding off extending his contract was what he termed a business decision.

"I don't want it to be perceived that I'm not happy or I'm not staying on because I'm not signing a three-year deal," he said. "It's just financially smarter to wait ... and I'm looking forward to signing the five-year deal when the chance comes."

Although it was made clear that he wasn't going to talk about it during the season, Quick decides to ask again 19 games into the season because the hack doesn't know what else to write about.
 
The reason why LMA isn't giving a firm 100% commitment is because he wants to see what Olshey is going to do with Matthews and Lopez in the off season. If Olshey lets Matthews and Lopez walk he will sign elsewhere. Matthews is his closest friend on the team and Lopez is the big rebounding center that he has been asking for.

And I don't blame him.

I not only read that but i pretty much called hi a piece of shit on the comment thread to that article. Of course you can't on O-Live but i do get a little more leeway on there than most. Quick and i have been going at it for a couple years now. He tries to pull that " I'm a reporter so i report" crap with me and i shut him down every time.
This fucking idiot just doesn't get it at all. Not only has he lost the Blazers trust he has also been shut down by the Ducks pretty much. Quick is in no mans land for a reporter. He can't report objectively any longer and he does not have Canzano's job to just speak as he pleases. I have on numerous occasions told him to find a new town because his time is over here.
