Ever since we drafted Nassir, I've been waiting for him to develop into an all-star. But it just hasn't happened. I think it's time to trade him if we can, waive him if not. Dame's getting older, the window is closing.

The Portland Trail Blazers had Nassir Little 12th on their draft board but selected him at No. 25.

Little was one of the highest rated prospects entering his freshman season at North Carolina.

"'We're stunned we end up with this guy,'" Ryen Russillo said a source with the Blazers told him.

Yeah from Olsheys comments it sounded like they were planning on drafting someone else (I think it was KZ) this afternoon, and just got lucky.

Yes, I really got the feeling he was going to draft KZ, too.

Kinda like it a lot. Didn’t think he’d be there. Has a Zach Collins vibe with a much bigger pedigree and better strength of competition.

Don’t know that Bilas should be talking about women’s fashions.
I can't believe his eyes even went down to her shoes. Mine didn't.

Man I love Kanter.

So for those that don't follow NCAA basketball, basically we drafted Gerald Wallace 2.0

Big time athlete and defender. Can't shoot

A big difference is the way they shot free throws. Wallace shot 56.8% from the line in his only year at Alabama, while Little shot 77%. That seems to indicate shooting improvement should come more easily at the next level.

I can’t believe anyone on this board would be upset about Little at 25! He has top 10 potential out of anyone in this draft.

I honestly believe that very soon...

Little/Collins > Hark/Chief (and it’s not close)

And anyone who wanted Bol Bol over Little I’ll take any bet that Bol is hurt at some point this season and will barely sniff the court when healthy. He’s a MASSIVE project. Little has tools that translate today.
Whoever advised and convinced Bol to enter the draft this year needs a kick in the nuts

Olshey mentioned this specific thing when asked about littles shooting. He said college free throw percentages are factored more heavily when scouting a guys shooting ability than college three point percentages.

It's been mentioned like a million times this off season, for some reason. Much more than I've ever seen before. Not really sure why.. I mean of course it's indicative that a player isn't a completely terrible shooter but I think it's being overstated a bit..

What a pick. I fell asleep after Charlotte’s selection last night after a hard day, woke up this morning and saw notifications about Nasir Little’s profile. I was wondering why they would be sending me these when he clearly had nothing to do with Blazers and then realized that in fact we had got him. Delighted.

My Dad has said the same exact thing for quite awhile. He should have played another year and proved himself. He would have gone WAY higher next year, and get to party in college for another year....

But if he has more injuries it might be that nobody gives him a chance. Better secure a minimum contract right now as there are major durability concerns.

He should also be pissed at whoever convinced him to shun the combine. Lots of potential lotto picks sit out the 5-on-5, but by refusing to do any of the drills he sent the message he doubted his own recovery from the injury. Would you want to use a lotto pick on someone afraid to run or jump?

Check out @DraftExpress’s Tweet:

You can see the potential. He turns his body a bit and fades left on his shot. Pretty easy fixes.

He just shot 52 3 pointers. When someone attempts less than 1.5 per game the % is not that indicative of how he might end up as a shooter unless ok if he makes 5 or 8 or something like that adn you cannot make any free throws. Of course you can say then why he didn't attempt more, but it can be sometimes gameplan, restrictions by coaches etc. Since he can score efficiently from inside they might prefered him to stick to that. For example everybody knew Towns could shoot 3s but they didn't allow him that freedom in Kentucky. Little's 77/100 from ft line is solid.

He also only played 18 minutes a game.

I don't understand this video.
He is saying that Nassir is a potential #1 pick, yet his ball-handling doesn't look that good, outside shooting looks amateurish, he says he has bad feel for the game.

Seems like a guy who might be a good role player in the NBA, why was he projected to be a top pick?
Did he improve on any one of those aspects since then? i'm guessing he didn't and that's why his stock went down so much.

And then i see you guys get excited and i get even more confused...
