Edit: And after smoking at least a pack a day for most of 40 years quitting was one of the easiest things I have ever done. All it took was a book by Allan Carr, called The Easy Way To Stop Smoking. Simple behavior modification that rewired my brain. An absolutely incredible book for anyone who is serious about getting off nicotine.
I've bought copies for the (now former) smokers in my life. As long as your sis wants to quit deep down (even if she is convinced she will never be able to) this book should help. It is cognitive behavior modification that rewired my brain. It's basically written at 6th grade level (and rightly so) and there is nothing complicated about it. It takes a whole different approach than what smokers who want to quit are used to. And the author encourages the reader to smoke as they read the book! He also encourages you to have one last one when you finish the book. I couldn't do it. I stomped it out after two puffs and never looked back. It has been eleven years last Saturday that I quit and I have never, ever, never had another urge to pick up a cigarette. Tell your sister she only has to keep an open mind when she starts reading......It's crazy shit that works. Thanks for posting this. I'm going to buy it for my sister.
And nice to see an OT thread about something other than politics/Trump.
