Oh you mean Dr. Fauci?

You mean the one that said, "There is no need to change lifestyle yet" on February 29th? The one that said Americans are perfectly safe for healthy Americans to take a cruise and hold campaign rallies March 9th?

Do you need more examples?

Don't you ever get tired of always defending him? It has to be exhausting.

Never said Fauci did I? I'm sure Fauci probably said that with pressure from trump, cause you know, nobody known more about pandemics than trump.

Anyone have an idea as to when Oregon State Parks will open?

Well, if you aren't reading them, there really isn't a point on this open discussion right? I mean, you'll toss your sensationalism and cover your eyes on opposing data? Who's the delusional one? LOL

Well, since you refused to answer the simple yes or no question, that would be you.

Okay, let's unpack your link...
On Jan. 18, Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar first briefed Trump on the threat of the virus in a phone call, the New York Times reports. Trump made his first public comments about the virus on Jan. 22, saying he was not concerned about a pandemic and that "we have it totally under control."
Here was what the federal government and task force was doing...
January 17: The CDC began implementing public health entry screening at the 3 U.S. airports that received the most travelers from Wuhan – San Francisco, New York JFK, and Los Angeles.

January 20: Dr. Fauci announces the National Institutes of Health is already working on the development of a vaccine for the coronavirus.

January 21: The CDC activated its emergency operations center to provide ongoing support to the coronavirus response.

January 23: The CDC sought a “special emergency authorization” from the FDA to allow states to use its newly developed coronavirus test.

January 27: The CDC issued a level III travel health notice urging Americans to avoid all nonessential travel to China due to the coronavirus.

On Jan. 27, White House aides met with then-acting Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney to try to get senior officials to take the virus threat more seriously, the Washington Post reports. Joe Grogan, the head of the White House Domestic Policy Council, warned it could cost Trump his re-election.

On Jan. 29, economic adviser Peter Navarro warned the White House in a memo addressed to the National Security Council that COVID-19 could take more than half a million American lives and cause nearly $6 trillion in economic damage.

On Jan. 30, Azar warned Trump in a subsequent call that the virus could become a pandemic and that China should be criticized for its lack of transparency, per the Times. Trump dismissed Azar as alarmist and rejected the idea of criticizing China.
January 29: The White House announced the formation of the Coronavirus Task Force to help monitor and contain the spread of the virus and provide updates to the President.

January 31: The Trump Administration:

  • Declared the coronavirus a public health emergency.
  • Announced Chinese travel restrictions.
  • Suspended entry into the United States for foreign nationals who pose a risk of transmitting the coronavirus.
January 31: The Department of Homeland Security took critical steps to funnel all flights from China into just 7 domestic U.S. airports.

February 3: The CDC had a team ready to travel to China to obtain critical information on the novel coronavirus, but were in the U.S. awaiting permission to enter by the Chinese government.

February 4: President Trump vowed in his State of the Union Address to “take all necessary steps” to protect Americans from the coronavirus.

On Feb. 14, a memo was drafted by health officials in coordination with the National Security Council that recommended the targeted use of "quarantine and isolation measures," per the Times. Officials planned to present Trump with the memo when he returned from India on Feb. 25, but the meeting was canceled.

On Feb. 21, the White House coronavirus task force conducted a mock exercise of the pandemic. The group concluded that the U.S. would need to implement aggressive social distancing, even if it caused mass disruption to the economy and American lives, per the Times. On Feb. 23, Navarro doubled down on his warnings in another memo, this time addressed to the president, stating that up to 2 million Americans could die of the virus.

On Feb. 25, director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases Nancy Messonnier publicly warned of the virus threat and said "we need to be preparing for significant disruption in our lives.” Trump reportedly called Azar fuming that Messonnier had scared people unnecessarily and caused the stock market to plummet, per the Times.
February 6: The CDC began shipping CDC-Developed test kits for the 2019 Novel Coronavirus to U.S. and international labs.

February 9: The White House Coronavirus Task Force briefed governors from across the nation at the National Governors’ Association Meeting in Washington.

February 11: The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) expanded a partnership with Janssen Research & Development to “expedite the development” of a coronavirus vaccine.

February 12: The U.S. shipped test kits for the 2019 novel coronavirus to approximately 30 countries who lacked the necessary reagents and other materials.

February 12: The CDC was prepared to travel to China but had yet to receive permission from the Chinese government.

February 14: The CDC began working with five labs to conduct “community-based influenza surveillance” to study and detect the spread of coronavirus.

February 18: HHS announced it would engage with Sanofi Pasteur in an effort to quickly develop a coronavirus vaccine and to develop treatment for coronavirus infections.

February 24: The Trump Administration sent a letter to Congress requesting at least $2.5 billion to help combat the spread of the coronavirus.

The bottom line: Anthony Fauci said on CNN's "State of the Union" Sunday that "no one is going to deny" that more lives could have been saved if the Trump administration had implemented social distancing guidelines earlier on.
I already showed the two times Fauci said Americans can go shopping or cruises from Feb 29 - March 6th

Thanks brother!

What date did trump put the stay at home order and social distancing order? Sure he shut down SOME flights, but also allowed many people to fly back into the country. With a pandemic all it takes is one person.

What date were test available to anyone that needed testing?

I did answer your question. Just because you don't like the answer doesn't mean your question wasn't answered.

Sly doesn't approve of snarky personal attacks. You already got away with calling me deranged.

Yes, I 100% agree. But there were many people, media, medical community, organizations, and world leaders that dropped the ball on this.

The blame does not rest solely on Trump or his administration. That’s the major issue between those that support Trump and others that hate him.

the balls and strikes aren’t being reported.

Trump put the travel ban with China in place on Fauci’s recommendation.

Fauci is part of the Trump Administration and Covid task force.

I’ll make this very clear. I’m not against Fauci. I’m actually very “pro Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx.” Trump also listened to the task force on extending the stay home order.

trump is suppose to be the leader, not the other people so the only ball I care about is the one dropped by our president and all trump supporters like to do is dodge, deflect and defer. Never one to accept blame. Kind of like his snafu about the Florida hurricane and he claimed Alabama was in the trajectory and he shows a map with the sharpie gate. Hard to make up this kind of shit.

Dr. Fauci just cleared the air right now during the press briefing that everything him and Dr. Birx recommended Trump has said yes to. He explained that a hypothetical was presented to him and responded in kind.

:banghead::banghead::banghead:

When presented with facts, it circles back to emotional sensationalism...

and around and around we go.....

like I said, dodge, deflect and defer. It is also very well known that trump is a very vindictive person who will go after anyone that doesn't100% back him up. Fauci would have been fired by now if he thought it wouldn't hurt him politically. Did you see what trump tweeted about Fauci? Absorb this one.

That seems at odds with this one:

Asked on CNN’s State of the Union why the administration did not act when he and other officials advised, Fauci said: “You know … as I have said many times, we look at it from a pure health standpoint. We make a recommendation. Often, the recommendation is taken. Sometimes, it’s not.

“…It is what it is. We are where we are right now.”

I didn't see either on video, so maybe there is something missing that explains the seeming contradiction?

During the presser, he clarified that comment. He said it was a poor choice of words. :dunno:

Im not a Trump supporter. i'm just not a raging hatred blind anger supporter either.

So you failed Try again.... or keep proving the very point I made in my post with another like response. :)

Valiant effort though. Keep it up. The key to success is keep trying...
But remember the key to insanity is to keep trying the same thing over and over expecting a different result.

Please, just stop with the pseudo psycho-babble...and quit fancying yourself as some sort of message board shrink...exactly when were you anointed as "The ACME Judgement Company"?...give it a rest and stop telling people how they should post.

As I said, “Facts don’t care about your feelings.” I gave my answer. If you don’t like that answer, I’m sorry it didn’t fulfill your fantasy.

False, I asked you a simple question; "Gupta is not Trump's advisor...Trump is ultimately accountable, yes or no?"

Your reply was; "Well, if you aren't reading them, there really isn't a point on this open discussion right? I mean, you'll toss your sensationalism and cover your eyes on opposing data? Who's the delusional one? LOL

WTF does that even mean?...so in summation, no, you did not answer, at least not coherently.

I agree with OB, SlyPokerDog is an asshole.

I'm so glad we found something we could both agree about.
