The most interesting part of this whole draft will be seeing if James takes Love. I hope with lebrons last pick love and horford are left and James picks Horford....I also wish this scenerio was televised:)

Don't really know why Love would be offended, often times players like playing with other players. He plays with Love all the time so it wouldn't seem questionable if he wanted to play a meaningless game with Horford over Love.

If my teammate let me get picked last by taking a player off our biggest eastern conference rival I would be a little sore.

You KNOW Nike is in Lebron's ear about his selections.

Wouldn't be surprised if this turns into Nike v Everyone else.

That's because nothing has changed with regard to that rule.
huh? There are no longer eastern and western teams. I'm saying who does D'Antoni coach? and who does Dwayne Casey coach?

My assumption (and this is just my assumption) is that Mike coaches Steph's team and Casey coaches LeBron's team even though their isn't East/West there is leading vote getter's from each who act as the captain so I don't think they let them draft the coach. Now why they don't come out and say that, I am not sure.

While there aren't Eastern and Western teams, the captains and coaches are still based on East and West. The rest of the roster isn't.

This is so stupid.

Dame is on team steph. What's the point of picking like this if we don't see it or they don't divulge how it went down?

OMG Dame picked last!!!111! Eff U Tour Part III!

I wanna see a Curry/Harden/Dame/Klay/Giannis line up out there!!

That's not the order... ESPN doesn't know the order.

They should have 16 all-stars from each conference, voting for 10 starters from each conference. Then do 4 teams and draft like that. It makes the drafting concept more interesting and makes it make more sense.

The extra 6 guys in the game would likely be:
Paul George
Chris Paul
Lou Williams
Andre Drummond
Ben Simmons
Goran Dragic

That's not watering down the game, as those top 4 are certainly deserving.

8 players on each team means more PT in each game.

Notice how I said each game? Play 2 "semi-final" games on Friday Night. Do Four 8min quarters. Then on Sunday do a 1st and 3rd place game with 12min quarters. Move Rising Stars game to Tbursday night.

Each player on the winning team gets $500,000 per player. 2nd gets $250,000 per player. 3rd gets $100,000 per player.

I feel like this would make the "All-Star Games" more competitive, due to the reward as well as the game structure.

16 guys from each conference would mean 8 more all stars, not 6. So you'd probably add Kemba Walker and Nikola Jokic (or Devin Booker, or Clint Capela, or Tyreke Evans...the west has a lot of semi-snubs) to your list.

Oh true. Still like the idea though.
