I hope there is no such thread. If so please delete it.

NBA decided to do some changes and one of them is moving the trade deadline before the All Star Game. Next year it will be February 8.

There were also some changes in the rules (per ESPN).
-The NBA will limit teams to two team timeouts in the final three minutes of a game, league sources tell ESPN.
-The NBA's Board of Governors has voted to reduce maximum number of timeouts per game by four -- from 18 to 14, league sources tell ESPN. Each team will get seven timeouts per game with no restrictions per half. Previously a "full" timeout was 90 seconds" and "20-second" timeouts were 60 seconds (no idea what 20 seconds were 60 means). Now, both will be replaced with a 75-second team timeouts.
-In overtime, teams previously had three timeouts but that's been dropped to two.

I believe that changing the clock to 14 seconds instead of full 24 after an offensive rebound has to be done too.

"Transfer" deadline. Is this Premier League language? haha

Odd they would change the trade deadline as it seems like many deals were discussed by execs at the all-star break.

Plus what if players on either all star team are traded to the oppositte conference just before the game? Interesting

A new one: Season Opener Oct.17 !

I wonder where those extra two weeks are going to go. Spread through the season to reduce back to backs?

Earlier season start is fine by me.

There will now be 100 games a season

If we reduce the amount of timeouts teams get we will lose revenue because we won't be able to play a many comercials during the games.
So lets make all timeouts 75 seconds that way we can play even more comercials during the game.

nba board of governors.

That made sense in the past. Not so much in the days of FaceTime, Skype, messaging and a myriad of other forms of communication.
