NBA draft lottery

This draft is overrated. Nobody worth trading LA for and rebuilding. Oh and write this down: Not one player in this draft will be better than Batum so save that crap too

Micheal Jordan was considered overrated when he came out of college.

I am a bit scared of giving Lamarcus 127mill for 5 years. We could go into next summer with Wiggins, Lillard, Thompson and Robinson and a boat load of salary cap..

Do you think the GM might share your same concerns which is why he basically told the fans to keep it in perspective at mid season? Perhaps he knew that this was going to take a couple steps back before it took four steps forward.

I think if the plan is LeBron in Cleveland. I do think Cleveland thinks long and hard at it. Somewhere I read that LeBron would like to play with LA. And face it, LA the way he played in the Houston series is worth the number one if not more. Who knows, he could have been audtioning for someone in that series.

Even though we aren't in it (yet), I love the lottery/draft. I'm interested to see what we will do to get in.

I agree with that.

LMA is good but no way is he worth LeBron money.

Physically and talent wise I think he is worth it. It's what's in the noggin that concerns me. So he brought that kind of value in two games of the Rocket series. I know what you all say, he was great the rest of the way. He wasn't the same player in games three through six as he was in game one and two. And I think it comes down to one thing. Pressure and the desire of being the man. If you are going to command that kind of salary. You better want the responsibility.

He will be the franchise with a max deal averaging about $25 M per season. That'll eat up a good chunk of the salary cap (about a third of it).

Yep. There is another thing. Deep down I think he was 'ok' and 'satisfied' with the way season ended. I don't want my franchise player ever feeling satisfied. Or feeling it's fine. It probably means you aren't ever going to get over the top if he is leading the way. I want him to be pissed about what happened to him and the team against the Spurs and dwell and think on it the entire off season.

That doesn't sound like LA. He's a laid back kind of person. There are times he plays like he was pissed although it doesn't happen too often.

So it has become apparent that the results today are a conspiracy to cover up a larger conspiracy in an alternate reality where the league actually is scripted and just forces Lakers and Celtics to be the best teams forever.

What will it take for you people to drop the conspiracy theory bogus? If Stern/Silver rigged the NBA, we would have seen Kobe/LBJ finals years ago. Chris Paul would've went to the Lakers instead of the Clippers.

I'll leave the possibility that some refs could still be corrupt but there has been no traceable rigging of the NBA either of draft picks or champions.

utah has some interesting players, and a lot of flexibility right now, picking at #5 they will have either exum or randle on the board

their top 5 scorers from last year were 23 or younger, and 35 million in cap room

shilly is an anti conspiracy theorist, aka, they have already got to him with the brain scan mind meld infiltration technology

there is no spoon

i keep thinking that the sixers are set up nicely, and then i remember that they traded turner and hawes for 2 2nd round picks

even with drafting parker, they have parker and umm thats about it

i still like nerlens but he is gonna have to prove it next year

Reigning ROY, Thadeus Young and Noel plis 2 top 10 picks this year?

forgot about mcw

i just thought at the beginning of last year they would be in a much better position, turner and hawes would have been a decent core with noel, mcw, and wiggins/parker

They are super young with Thadeus Young as the old man at 25. But man if you add Jabari Parker and say Gary Harris to that team they are likely gonna have a bright future.

If Philly wants Hawes or Turner back, they have plenty of cap space to sign them. I can see maybe Hawes, but would pass on building a young team with Turner.

does anyone see any of the top 5 teams making moves to become relevant next year?

i could see utah trading up to nab parker from #5

i can see cleveland trying to nab love, and entice lebron to come back

orlando is still aways away

same with the sixers

the bucks...no fucking clue, those guys are a train wreck. if sanders regains his brain function they might be much improved though

fair enough, i guess it will depend on how the next couple months play out, not sure if they are going to tank again next year. they still seem like a 20ish win team again even with whomever they get at #3

After the Michael Bennett debacle, I could see Cleveland being a lil more prudent this year and elect to not use their pick but move it.
