So they're making travelling. Travelling. Alright... See how this plays out.

@dviss1 ??

Anything that makes it more difficult for Harden to get away with traveling is fine with me.

Now they need to start calling palming the ball. I was amazed last year how many players including Dame palm/carry the ball. At least what I was taught palming ball.

Details still to come, but it sounds like they're changing the travel rule to focus on the point when dribbling stops rather than when the player's second hand touches the ball. Feels like they're just adding in more layers of subjectivity to me, and I expect this to be a spectacular failure.

That's so often the problem. They correct one aspect but sometimes add 2 or 3 more grey areas. Choose a rule, be consistent and play the game. Players can adjust if they are more black and white as well as consistent rules.

Here is a thought how about once you stop dribbling the ball you get half a step.

Between this and what is a catch in football, more grey areas to dispute over....

OMG should I try to make it to the NBA now???

Are they gonna let me call traveling now???

Dumbasses.... This is how it's always been called from NCAA on down.

Finally they'll call it in the NBA... Suuuuuuuuuurrrrrre....

I'll believe it when I see it. If it happens, it's DEFINITELY because the referees pushed for it.

Hilarious.. So hilarious...

Please explain what half a step is. I'll wait.

:bwpopcorn:
A full step is move one leg then the other. A half a step is move one leg. Did you need instructional video on that?

Uh... what?

First example is two steps.
Second example is a step, and could be considered a pivot.

I almost read the last part of the thread title as "gathering." Like the Highlander series, there can only be one!

Wouldn't the second step not count until the second foot touched the ground?

So a full step would be once you picked up the trailing foot, and the second step would be once you put the second foot down and raised the first again?
