So far it seems to be everyone took their shoes off. I'm really curious what Dame ends up being. My guess is he's barely hitting 6'2, but we'll find out.

he was almost 22 when he was measured as 6'1.75. I doubt he's grown

I guess NBA players aren’t as tall as we all used to think. There’s still hope for me!

I was always under the impression he was listed at 6’3.

he was, but like for almost all NBA players, those listed heights were bullshit. The logic behind trying to peg heights based upon 'in-shoes' has always failed because the variance could be so large...anywhere from 3/4" to 3" were added to the barefoot height.

finally, the NBA is trying to address the bad information. Unfortunately, I think there will still be some inaccuracy. A player can be measured as 6'5.5 and reported as 6'6. It's not as 'bad' as the in-shoes stuff, but it's still inaccurate. On the other hand, there's not any significant difference between a 6'5.5 wing and a 6'6 wing

LOL at cuck Durant trying to be shorter.

weirdo.

Ah, got it. I actually like the move of trying to get more accurate data.

The difference is for internet nerds that are try to push their agenda's on player comparison using heights.

"Well X is a better defender because he's 6'6 and Y is 6'4." "You can't start two small guards."

Turns out X is also 6'4 and Y is actually 6'5. Go figure.

KG did the same thing. No way he was as short as his listed height. Not sure why though. What would be the point?

Not sure about Durant, but KG is thought to have sold himself short (see what I did there?) So people wouldn't be clamoring for him to play Center. He was adamant about playing PF and didn't want the noise that goes along with being a 7fter.

They are purposefully rounding down for shock value. Draymond is 6'5.75".

Either way it is pretty amazing that he can pretty much guard any forward on the court while being under 6'6".
Same with CP3 when it comes to slowing down most guards. You either can defend or you can't. I don't deny that extra length helps, but
how many hours have we spent discussing size?

yeah as mentioned, i recall him not wanting to be listed as a 7 footer due to to all the traditional connotations that 7 footers are slow, in the key, D focused, battering rams, etc - pretty sure he wanted to be listed at 6'12" if that's the way they were going. basically he didnt want to be stereotyped and considering his skill set and how he changed the big man game, i get it - but in all reality it dont mean much vs what they do on court.

lol - dwight howard being 6'9" , draymond being 6'5" makes the stuff he does even more amazing - rodman esque

Most of these don't surprise me. For 99% just take the listed hight, subtract 2" (1.5" for shoes, 0.5" for rounding up) and you are at their real height.

Well, I believe he measured 6'1.75" at the pre-drafy camp so it should be expected. Indicators seem to point that they are also rounding up and no exact measurements so would likely be listed at 6'2".

Yup, I'd imagine both Nurk and Collins will be just a tad under. Meyers might sneak over, he's pretty close to being legit.
Meyers is listed at 7' 1".
