NBA MVP

With the season winding down, I thought we ought to start the MVP debate. I think Steve Nash should be the MVP again. The Suns are scoring 110 points a night, depsite losing Amare, despite 60% of the starting lineup being different. Last year the Suns did horrible those games Nash missed. They've played horrible this season when Nash missed a couple of games. Nash is what makes the engine run. He is the most valueable player to his team, and that's why I say Steve Nash is the MVP this year

Assuming the Lakers make the playoffs, which they are on pace to, there is no question it should be Kobe Bryant. The Suns are a team loaded with talent, and if you traded Nash for Kobe the Lakers miss the playoffs and the Suns still make it. Kobe carried his team all year.

i h8 the NBA but the MVP should be dierk. You say kobe doesn't have any talent on his team..........dierk doesn't really have much either.

Stephan Marbury.Enough Said.j/k, im going with LeBron James, they go out and get him a runningmate in Hughes and he goes and gets injured and they still go to the playoffs on a not very talented team.

The "weak" link is Jason Terry at PG who isn't weak. Dampier and Van Horn on the bench. MVP is most valuebale to the team, not most outstanding.Kobe is a ballhog. If he passed the ball more, then he'd be a contender for it. In my book, it's Nash. The Suns have done horrible when he's missed games to injury.

I'd say he's been a very solid contributer in the time that matters most.And Stackhouse kicks Odom all over the schoolyard. He just hasn't been healthy until recently, and recently he's been looking like he should be the star of his own team.This point is mute anyhow, since even if Odom was better he in no way makes up for the total lack of talent around them whereas the Mavs are a deep team.

Phoenix does terrible without Nash, even w/ Amare and Shawn, like last year when they were 2-5 in the 7 games he missed. Steve Nash is doing it this year w/o Amare. Like I said before, it is Steve Nash who makes the entire engine run. Yes, Kobe does too, but he's a ballhog. When he won his 3 rings, it was Shaq who was the finals MVP all 3 years, not Kobe. When Shaq and Kobe were together w/ the Lakers, there wasn't a single game played that both of them missed. The Lakers record in games Shaq missed was much worse than in games Kobe missed. I'm sorry, but Steve Nash is the MVP

Kobe should be MVP he carried the load this year and don't tell me he doesn't share the ball just watch the first quarter of a laker game he doesn't take many shots in the first and he turns it on when he needs to and the lakers are terrible without Kobe

Imagine players like Boris Daiw and Lenardo Barbosa? If they're with Kobe, what numbers do you think they put up this year? Nothing close to what they're doing. I'm sure if you put Brian Cook and Luke Walton with Nash, and they'd have career years as well. Once again, it's Steve Nash making the engine run

Yeah I have a feeling they wont give the MVP to Chauncy but you gotta give credit to him for everything he's doing. I still think Steve Nash will get it because what hes doing is incredible. Nobody expected him to make his team one of the #4 seed with Amare out.
