NBA record! Brandon Roy sleeps through an entire game!

Welcome to our community

If he plays like he did last night, he SHOULD be booed. He seems to be pouting because he doesn't get to handle the ball as much, and that's inexcusable. Is it all about the team, or is it all about Brandon Roy?

"Fan" in a nutshell.

Just to add fuel to the fire:

Remember how we won the first game against Phoenix in the playoffs (and Dre had a great game)? Suddenly, Roy comes back superfast. A cynical fool (which I am not) might argue that he did that to preempt suggestions that Miller makes the team better without Roy.

Trouble is, of course, nobody would give us value for Roy, and Miller's old as dirt. So we better damn well find a way to make Roy happy.

I've heard from other posters that he's not happy playing with Miller . . .
At this point, I'll take Miller. The guy goes all out, and is fearless around the basket. He's also a much better passer than Roy.

By the way, what Roy did last night is one of the lowest points in Blazer history. He actually pouted through an entire game against our hated rival the Lakers, and helped hand them the victory. That is going to be part of his legacy, whether he likes it or not.

Even you won't remember this game in a couple of years.

I also remember how the Blazers lost the next two games in blowout fashion (29 points and then 19 points), without Roy, and with Miller playing like shit.

Now Roy is "selfish" for trying to come back quickly from injury and help his team in the playoffs. Hilarious. Just when I think things can't get more preposterous, I keep reading threads, and there it is!

LOL. Just what this discussion needed, some superstitious magical thinking. Regardless, I tend to agree with you about something going on in Brandon's head right now that affecting his game (and the body doesn't look right either). As for Oden being a leader, I've never seen him display any leadership qualities on or off the floor, he might be able to lead by example, but I think it's extreme wish casting to suggest that he's ever going to be a strong vocal leader.

Ever since training camp this team has had a weird vibe surrounding it, like it's about to go one of a couple of ways, hopefully that's not the flame-out, implosion route.

Said like someone ignorant of how Astrology works. Nonetheless I agree with your dead materialist viewpoint.

As to Oden, I think he might call Roy on bullshit if he starts to dominate, but only in the locker room. So again we agree even if we arrived at that conclusion through very different means. It takes all types. ;)

Cheers.

As they say, "ignorance is bliss."

"And yet, Artest didn't think the even-keeled Roy was frustrated."
"The way he approaches the game is someone to look up to, because his facial expression never changes," Artest said. "You never know what's behind that expression.

"He's always a tense, determined player -- as you can see with the numbers he puts up and where he takes his team. His team wins. So I don't really go by that. I know he's not frustrated. He probably had a bad night. He's going to deal with it. He'll come back out when he gets the opportunity and he'll let you have it."

The game was over before the second half started, I wish everyone would play hard like Miller, but getting smashed on the boards can be demoralizing

My conspiracy theory: Cho has promised Brandon that Miller will be traded before the deadline, and Brandon is saving his energy until then because he'll be a ball dominant player again once Miller is gone.

Of course I don't believe this, but I want to.

I'm not so sure. I still clearly remember game 3 of the 1994 EC semifinals, Knicks/Bulls, when Scottie Pippen refused to reenter the game with 1.8 seconds left. because he would not be taking the last shot. I'm not even a Bulls or Knicks fan, either.

If this is Roy being pouty, I'll remember it for a LONG time. This feels just like last year, when he didn't want to play with Dre or Greg.

Go Blazers

Portland Trailblazers need Brandon Roy more than they need any other player right now. He is our super star, he is the best player we have and to go forward we NEED him. Whatever his problem is, trading him, boosing him, sooking about him ISNT the answer. Coach needs to get to the bottom of it. I WANT Roy to handle the ball more than Miller during a game, if thats what makes the best player on our team and one of the best players in the league happy then for freaks sake let him do it!!!

Personally, I would hate to see Miller go. The guy is a brilliant passer, and he has a knack for getting to the basket and scoring at the rim. Those are attributes that every team needs, and I'd love to see him work things out with Roy.

Because, y'know, it doesn't, in fact, work.

"Millionaires don't use Astrology...Billionaires do!"

JP Morgan.

But that's ok, continue to live your life and ignore what the rich and powerful do.

Feel free to continue to bag on it folks.

Another quote for you "Condemnation without investigation is the highest form of ignorance" Albert Einstein.

But by all means bag away folks!

P.S. going by newspaper astrology is like thinking that reading Ranger Rick is equivalent to a doctorate in Bio-Chemistry.

For real?

It sure is. I wouldn't google Bohemian grove if I were you. Or Bilderbergers or any of the other things you are ignorant about.

Now back to basketball as I'm not here to wake you up to how things really work. That's your job.

For real?

Oh yes, there is a reason all the rich folk play at things like high degree masonic rituals.

How about this? I will predict the future for ya. I will tell you right now we will have hyperinflation in the US by 2012 and by 2013 the US dollar will be gone. I've made $45,000 thanks to my "tin foil" this year, in fact really just since June. My portfolio is up about 70% for the year. How? I pay attention to what the elites do and know how they operate even the "tin foily" stuff. Turns out there is quite a bit of that.

Sleep well Nikokulous, you will need your rest for when you wake up.

People who bust out the tin foil hat nonsense look dumber by the day.

I am pretty sure he is talking about investments, and not salary.

I work for a company here in Texas run by a very wealthy man. He follows that stuff a lot as well, and swears by it. I sorta watch what he does and have made a pretty decent hit in the market this past year. I certainly wouldn't discredit it.
