After Quinn's statement about staying in Denver and an NHL statement coming today it's happening.
 
Good, the NBA sucks ass anyway. A bunch of racist black guys who don't want white owners and GM's telling them to act like a player instead of acting like they are running the team. Not to mention liberal ESPN who does nothing but show crappy NBA highlights and gives hockey about 2 minutes.
 
Wow. Baseball is cancelling spring training seasons we are now going to see what a world without sports looks like!!
 
Well, something like this was bound to happen. Hopefully, those of us with older people in our families can stay safe.

Well this is going to be a weird next month. Hopefully the weather is pretty good. Maybe they come up with some way to have the Rangers play in a single elimination format to put 12 teams in or something, where the top 4 teams get byes into the 2nd round and 5g series. If they end the reg.season we won't be in and the Isles will based on win %. Even playing the last 5-6 games likely won't give us enough time with games in hand for Car/NYI. I had a feeling that Devils game might hurt but who knows, either way it's been a fun year and alot to look forward to. A no-lose kind of situation really.
 
Morons throwing out idiotic numbers now like 70% of the population of states could be infected. Get the fuck out of here. People aren't even going outside ride now. The sad part is all the dumb, drunk whores on spring break think because they are young they don't have to worry. I wonder how they will feel when they come back, give that shit to their parents or grand parents and they die. And hopefully they get the playoffs in so it doesn't negatively affect the cap going up, which we need.
 
First news of a good vaccine out there and the stock market is going to go up 5,000 points in a day. Wish I had money free but it's tied up.
 
If anything this virus did do in relation to Trump (why we are talking about that on a hockey forum is beyond me) is it provided another powerful example of how woefully incompetent he is as a government leader. Running a business may be a different story but, it's clear he is clueless when it comes to leading a nation. The dumb fuck came in contact with at least one person in recent days who has tested positive for covid-19 yet still refuses to get tested himself. Just imagine if every other citizen in this country followed suit...what a fucking disaster. But, at least he continues to divert funding from education and science to build his fucking wall that may keep a few more brown people out (pretty sure someone else in this thread recently posted something that shows they agree with me that racism is a bad thing) but does very little to protect the citizens from true threats to our health and well-being.
 
Please. The unemployment was at an all time low. The market was never better. He was finally helping us not get screwed over by other countries. You sound like another clueless, liberal. This virus was China's fault because the whacko's think eating crazy crap will give them magical powers. Those idiots infected the world. The truly amazing part is we still have people like this who can't grasp the fact that most of the country isn't listening to the whacko left any longer. I think most working people tuned Pelosi out months ago. Rightly so. That used up old fart is a disgrace. Once the medical world figures this out, the market will boom again. That's what happens when you have a business man in charge. You see, the country is a business. That's what the left never understood. They way you have presented yourself in this thread over the years is completely in line with the behaviors and actions of our clueless leader Trump. So much so that I'm not convinced you aren't Trump, in all honesty. You are an under-educated, arrogant, self-righteous prick who hides behind a keyboard but would surely get his teeth knocked in if he was ever brave enough to leave the cozy confines of what i imagine is a modest home passed down through generations in over-taxed Suffolk county (or maybe eastern Nassau, I suppose that is possible). Years ago I remember you saying you were an educator of some kind, working with young children. Please for the sake of our society tell me you have moved on to something less challenging and impactful.
Believe me, I give Trump a lot of credit and thanks for accelerating the improvement of the economy (even you should be able to admit that the economy was in drastically better shape at the end of 2016 than it was at the end of 2008). My 401k statements (even despite the recent massive sell-off) have been an absolute delight to review every time i get them. Thankfully, I'm still 2 full decades away from my projected retirement so yeah, this downturn is also a VERY welcome sight for me because I will get to take advantage of the dip. Sorry your money is tied up right now in other areas, Im sure things will pick up for you soon.
No one on here ever said Trump isn't going to get re-elected. No one on here ever brought up Nancy Pelosi..(where the fuck did that come from?!). No one ever said most of the country is listening to wacko left. You're making points to an argument that doesn't exist. You can hardly put a relevant thought together (more evidence you MIGHT actually be Trump).
However, leading a nation is not leading a business. It's similar in a lot of ways but, leading a nation requires empathy, a willingness to listen to and follow the advice of people who know more than you (also happens to be a trait of successful business people, just one thing shit for brains Trump still struggles with) and to set an example of how to be a positive contributor to society. If everyone in this country spoke, thought, behaved, treated people with differing opinions, refused to admit they are ever wrong, lied and misled in the way Trump does this country would represent nothing of what we love about it and what makes it a great country. The fact of the matter Trump is only concerned about one thing, himself. He does not care about the little people, the average citizens. You. Me. Any of us.
One thing you are right about, this is (for now) a free country. Go ahead a vote for whomever you like. Just know this, you live in NY...your vote for Trump is meaningless.

This virus won't change that. When millions in your country get to the sad state where they believe a virus from China is your presidents fault, then you have lost all credit-ability. There was nothing the president could have done that he hasn't. The medical industry has been corrupt for years in this country. They become more inept every year. If you have spent any time in hospitals around this country, you will find that most are a fucking disgrace. For what they get paid from the simplest services, they are shitholes. People are stealing money from them left and right. Blame the head medical organizations in this country. Not the president. When the people taking care of your medical defenses are corrupt and incompetent, that is on them. Not Trump. He could have started by 1. Not cutting CDC funding and staffing the past few years, 2. not putting someone in charge of the nation's response (freakin PENCE) who doesnt believe in science and saw a huge AIDS epidemic in his home state because he was refusing to allow clean-needle programs until he went home to "mother" (which is what that creep show calls his wife) and prayed, 3. Not put a loser in charge of the CDC who wrote a book about how AIDS victims are sinners, who had previously tried to get the job under Bush and Bush rightly told him to beat it and 4. not lying to the American people over and over about the severity of the problem (see below).

Dump, the guy went on national TV in a primetime address and stated there would be a trade embargo with all of Europe - immediate halt on all goods for 30 days. Then afterwards his advisors had to come out and say he actually meant the exact opposite. That kind of incompetence, in that situation, is truly remarkable.

I am not surprised you are one of the many putting your over-the-top hatred of Democrats ahead of what is good for this country. Having this guy in charge during a true emergency is the worst thing we could have asked for. He has been wrong every step of the way.

I've been a registered Republican my whole life. Was a campus volunteer for the McCain campaign - and for those that dont remember supporting Obama's opponent on a college campus was a lonely place. I'd vote for a monkey in a suit before I vote for Trump. Trump and his blind, biased supporters have done irreparable harm to the Republican party and more importantly the country. Biden is going to win in a landslide and they have nobody but themselves to blame.

This is the only post I'm going to make on politics, because one thing I've found being involved in the political world is that Trump supporters are the biggest snowflakes of all. They can do nothing but name call and deflect. Kind of like their hero.

They have done nothing but try to get the votes of minorities, women and young people to win elections. They have done nothing for these people. Especially minorities who Trump has put to work more than any president in history. The nation has woken up. He makes statements that are incorrect like any president. However, he didn't create this virus. He didn't spread it. Blaming a president for a virus coming from China is one of the dumber things I've seen in years. However, that is all the democratic party has left. They tried to impeach him over bullshit and failed miserably. They tried to stop pretty much everything he wanted to do since he took office and failed miserably. They have tried to sell america that he's the Devil and have failed miserably. They will try to beat him in the next election and they will fail miserably. The democratic party is finished. The truly incredible part is the millions of liberal idiots in NY still hate Trump and the city is turning into a complete shithole again. The cops are totally disrespected and not supported. Criminals are allowed to walk free constantly. Idiots walking up to your vehicle again in the middle of main roads. People in NY are starting not to feel safe again. The only time the city got cleaned up was when a badass named Rudy Giuliani came in and cleaned that shithole up. Trump like with this virus is man enough to admit he made some mistakes and is listening to his people and is changing. Problem with whacko, to the left liberals is they don't change. The same asshats that are running NY haven't done a fucking thing to help the police out and get the city cleaned up again. Everything is OK according to them.

For the record, no one is saying the virus is the president's fault. At least not in here...maybe they are on HF (whatever the hell that is)? No one in here is saying the medical, health insurance industry isn't fucked in this country. What some people are saying is that this President is in no way capable of leading this country through a disaster of any kind due to his refusal to listen to experts that tell him things he doesn't like to hear, can't take being told he is wrong, and is more concerned about how things look than the facts. You talk about democrats burying their head in the sand (or their asses) but, how do you not see that's precisely what is happening with almost everyone in this country? This guy can't get a sentence out straight or accurately without reading in from a paper in front of him. He distorts information at the very least and outright lies about things that are important AND completely insignificant. How can someone that acts in that way be trusted during times of crisis?

My god, we are 1 day into the suspension of the season. Can we get this Covid-19 shit figured out quickly so we can get back to arguing with each other about what line Kakko belongs on?!
