8th worse for those counting at home. Most likely 6th after this year

about the time-lapse of playoff wins....I wonder if playoff series wins would look any different. Portland has 4, and 2 of those came in 2018-19, followed by getting swept

the starting point might be kind of harsh for the Blazers. They missed the playoffs in 7 of the first 10 years since 2003

Good point, a more fair way would be to normalize the data somehow. Such as to do it by percentage of seasons a team has gone to the playoffs since their inception, and their winning percentage in the playoffs.

But I suppose part of the point in this presentation was to show the recent past, and how each teams performance has been in the modern nba.

NOP and Memphis have a chance to pass us in the next few years if they win a few series. Maybe even Minnesota but 18 wins will be quite a lot for that young core to get.

What are the chances the Blazers pass any of these other teams? Orlando is the only one not pulling further ahead of us right now.

With the moves Cronin has made and the direction of this franchise it probably will get much worse the next ~4 years. I was all for making changes, hoping to change some of our rotational players or assets for talented pieces that fit better. Instead we dumped 4 starters for scraps and have no way to add back the talent of those players. So we are unlikely to get back to this "mediocrity" level we were at previously, thus we are likely to be even worse. Depressing.
