“The National Hockey League condemns the insensitive and insulting comment that Mike Milbury made during last night’s broadcast, and we have communicated our feelings to NBC,” the league statement reads. “The comment did not reflect the NHL’s values and commitment to making our game more inclusive and welcoming to all.”

I'm really sorry but this just seems like a joke to me. Of course i'm an insensitive bastard most of the time.

I'm having a hard time hearing exactly what he was saying but was it just something like not being distracted by women when none are around?

Yeah that's what he said- The context was the first reporter said “If you think about it, it’s a terrific environment with regard to — if you enjoy playing and enjoy being with your teammates for long periods of time, it’s a perfect place,”
-“It’s the perfect place,” Milbury responded. “Not even any women here to disrupt your concentration.”

yikes! that's worth a suspension?

That kind of thing would get said without even the slightest thought of "insensitive" where i work. Hell my wife would say it.

yeah....in fact, a lot of women would get really insulted if they couldn't break your concentration....unless you were vacuuming the carpet or taking out the trash

Lmao if that deserves a suspension or firing... then lock me the fuck up boys, because the shit my coworkers and I talk blows this out the water!

This is the type of thing that liberals blame conservatives for, and conservatives blame liberals for.

All except sexhaters and manhaters dislike the way that this country has gone.

As Freud said, sexual repression emerges as work ethic. The purpose is to maximize our efficiency, and thus profits of those in power, who guide the legal and media systems.

I'd like to get some women's perspective on this.
