I've been selling a lot of windows and doors over there.

Man, talk about character. You just don't see that in the newer homes. *sigh*

Yeah, your hood is rather impressive, as well. Man, I sure wish I had some discretionary cash right now. I'd be purchasing something over there.

On a side note, I had an appointment with a guy who just purchased a home on Peacock Ln. He's completely renovating it. Three stories, including a fully furnished basement. It's a 1920's home, so it probably has lead paint and asbestos, but what the heck...it's an incredible home. He bought it for a song from some old lady who didn't give a rat's and let it go to pieces.
 
older homes are not cookie cutter, and imho, you know whats already wrong with them. I hate new houses.
 
All those nice houses over North Portland cost an arm and a leg.

Man, yesterday, I was at a home on N. Newell near St. Johns. Felt like I was at the coast. The sun shines differently over there. What a charming area!

Totally agree. Alot more work and $$$$...... but man it's worth it.

Kinda' like old cars.

If you can afford to, and are able to, fixing up a house isn't nearly as hard as people think.

of course, if you can't afford to, or aren't able to, than fixing a house up is difficult.

Same with an older car.

That's a strong consideration. These neighbors above me are driving me crazy! Not to mention, you could trust me to protect your wife during road games. Promise.

We're planning on getting married once she's complete the masters degrees. That won't be for another 14 months, though. Until then, we've both agreed to stay put. She lives in Olympia. We're planning on eventually retiring in Bend. MARIS has been doing an awesome job at showing us some very tantalizing properties there! :cheers:

Thats over kinda by McKenna Park. Not a bad area. If you want to see some nice parts of NoPo you gotta go over towards the University. My mom grew up a block away from the University and on the same block she grew up with AC Green and his family.

The thing is? She thinks "I'm" the one who's getting cold feet. She loves me......lots. I got it made......Oh, other than that $20k+ tax bill from my previous marriage! :banghead:
