I'm watching it! One of the craziest and best eras of the Blazers and the inmates of the jail are telling their side of things? HELL YES!

You mean to say you guys won't watch The Glorious Bastards of Baseball because only "the bad" players told their side of things?!?

My hope is that these guys are open and honest about things.

I want to be entertained by some of the Blazers' most entertaining players!

Will I watch it one night when I'm bored ... probably but I just want the perspective of both sides ... not just the knuckleheads! Found it interesting reading all the posts on twitter yesterday saying how they were late teens/early 20s when that crew was here and how much they loved them and never saw anything wrong. I admit that was me at the time, I couldn't understand why my dad (a fan from the franchises first day) was so annoyed by them and me. Then I got a little older, a little wiser and gained some perspective and understood my dad was right. Yes they were entertaining and yes they were an amazing experiment by Trader Bob, but it bombed and blew up in the face of the franchise and the city. While many fans of the Blazers might not have wanted to hear the nickname, it stuck nationally for a long time.

Did anyone read the Kerry Eggers book on this team? Did it do a good job of capturing what that time was like. It is crazy to think of all the stories we know that made it to the public, now imagine the craziness we will never know about that was going on.

Did it really bomb? That's the last Blazer team that had a chance to win a championship. If that is really blowing up in our faces, what do we call the last 20 years?

Yea I would say it did as that team was a shell of itself after that 00 loss in Game 7, getting swept by LA the next two seasons in the first round. They were an embarrassment but as with most things in life, it's all a matter of perspective and opinion. I always thought the JailBlazer stuff hung over the franchise like a dark cloud for a long time and they tried to wash it away in the Roy/LA/Oden era but I always wondered if taking the big gamble on Roy and his contract extension was an effort to show they had a 'good guy' leading the team, even though they had to know his knees were DOA.

The last 20 years you could say is this franchise paying it's pittance for past transgressions.

I had season tickets around then. Went to the game with my young daughter where Sheed threw the towel in Sabas' face. I was so disgusted with that team at that point, and so fed up with that technical fouling CTC buffoon in particular, that I wrote the Blazers the next day demanding that they cancel my contact for the tickets. Threathened to go public, talk to the Oregonian, etc. if they didn't.

I still can't believe it, but they did in fact cancel my season ticket contact.

So yeah, I'm all in for a watch party!

I’m on Team Sheed in Towelgate. Sabonis flopped and elbowed Sheed in the head. Sheed didn’t throw the ball at him. He threw a towel. Out of valid frustration.

Bullshit. Shaq is barreling through you. You either throw your arms and maybe get the offensive foul, thereby preventing the bucket and saving yourself a foul (and Sabonis was the most valuable player on the team vs Shaq) or you don't and collect the foul while giving him the and 1.

Sabonis played that as well as anybody could. Getting pissed at him for it was selfish and childish and it destroyed that team.

I wish Sabonis would have beat Sheed's ass. He deserved it.

But Sabonis was too good of a teammate to lash out at his own teammates like that.

If we are lighting a joint every time weed is mentioned in the jailblazers doc, does that me lakers fans are hitting the crack pipe every time it's mentioned in the Odom doc? Probably.

I watched it. It was sad. Basically, the three of them talking about how high they were, and that they didn't care (But, they really did). They were trying to win those first few seasons. It was tough to watch them go over the WCF's again. 13 missed shots in a row...very Blazers.

Damon got away with having a pound of pot in his house, and they all just kept getting caught with weed.

They seemed not mention several players.

The story of Pippen coming here was cool. He was going to go the Lakers, but Bob Whitsitt sold him on coming here.

Of course they talked about Patterson and the bloated, coked out ghost of Kemp.

Barely mentioned Qyntel woods, though left out the playing card/drivers license story. Didn't really talk about Darius.

Didn't talk about Sheed accosting the ref in the parking lot. I was waiting for that.

They did remind us, he went and won elsewhere.

The reunion last year was sad. Wallace didn't even come.

I enjoyed it. The only think I didn't like was they gave Clownzano a place in it.

I hope someday Sheed comes back and understands there is a lot of love for him in Portland.
Agreed. People that still hate on Sheed should let it go. The guy was in his 20s. Lots of love for Sheed from me.

I enjoyed it. Those replays of game 7 hurt.

I'm not still mad at Sheed. But I regret how he sabotaged his time here. I'm disappointed that he doesn't apologize for his actions.

He was in his 20s. He acted like a toddler. I'm not mad about that time. I'm embarrassed about his time here. He needed slapped down. But he was too talented and wealthy for that to ever happen. He was seriously motivated for about 6 months in his entire career. And he won a title.

Sheed's poor leadership and shitty attitude probably cost Bonzi his career.

Still, it was nostalgic and funny. I'm glad it was made. That team was good.

I've heard from several friends, coworkers, and guys on the local radio that it's terrible, a waste of time. Doesn't offer any new info. It's all about Sheed and Damian and them making excuses. I'm not going to watch it. And as someone else said, the fact that Crapzano is in it further makes me want to avoid it.

Damn, lumping Damian in with the Jail Blazers is savage.

That's on the coach.

Sheed didn't have those problems at North Carolina.

And it didn't have those problems at Detroit.

Dean Smith and Larry Brown got what they needed out of Sheed.

I always thought Dunleavy was a shit coach.
