umm not looking good 11 points down last time i checked vc went down in the 1st but he came back in like 3 min.

It looks like you guys might win...

Cleveland is killing the Raptors right now so they pretty much have the game. It's just up to NJ to win...

The Nets GOT IT, They got it. Playoff, who would have thought this earlier? hey well its good that they made it. Now that Jefferson comes back they can at least give the Heat some running, and without Shaq for 1 game, maybe even more? Watch Out.

Congrats Playoff Bound Nets

Well it has been an impressive run by the Nets (although coupled with a rather poor run by the Cavs) to grab the last playoff spot. If jefferson does come back in good shape for the playoffs, I feel that the Nets could perhaps surprise everyone, especially with news that Shaq may likely miss the first game of the playoffs. A win in Miami to start of the series could be great for the Nets.

YAAAA..... They really deserved it rather than the cavs!

Ya wen shaq is out 1st game could really help and steal a road win! and you never know but maybe surprise everyone by beating heat in the 1st round!

Yea hopefully Jefferson comes back, but woohooooo Good to see Vince back in the playoffs again!! Congrats Nets!!

thank god. i was scared the whole game

Even though I don't like the Nets, I give them props for their turn around (Vince) and from where they started and where they ended up.

the vc trade has worked out for the nets amazingly.

u never noe. maybe nets will win the championship
biggrin.gif
...maybe

The Nets were not playing agressivly enough and they barely got a win over Boston who played its young guys towards the end of the game.
Either than that, the Nets are in the playoffs! They had an extremly tumultous season, but they never let themselves get excused. They played hard when it counted that they achieved what they deserved.
I have to admit that this was proably the most surprising regular season that I have ever seen. The season is not over, and if the Nets wish to have a chance to beat Miami, they are going to have to bring thier A+ game and more.
I just hope of that Jefferson's proclaimed return will be a positive.

It looked terrible early on, Vince gets hurt, Nets down by 19 and getting outplayed by the Celtic's bench. But they fought through it and earned the 8th seed. Congrats to the Nets.

Whoo, that was a close one, gave Nets fans a scare. Hopefully, people can see Vince for much more then just a "fragile" player now. He is back in top form and I'm glad that the American media is now realizing how good he really is. The playoffs will be great, especially if RJ comes back and Shaq injures himself

Anyways, great to see the turn-around of the Nets as a team and Vince as a player.

My prediction made in January about the Nets not making the playoffs is wrong... I'm just in awe. The Nets beat the Celtics whose stars Pierce and Walker were purposely benched so they can rest for the playoffs while the Cavaliers just dismantled the Raptors. They both won tonight, but since Nets were leading the season series versus the Cavaliers, they held the tiebreaker which is stupid. Now Vince/Kidd and the Nets are facing Wade/Shaq and the Heat in the 1st round. Obviously, Heat will eliminate them, and I'll say the Heat will win the series 4-2. I shouldn't even say the Nets will win 2 times, but they got the respect from me since they were a horrible team prior to the Vince trade and had a big turnaround after it. I just feel sorry for Lebron. He's been amazing fo rthe Cavaliers this year but unfortunately his teammates just didn't respond especially during the late stages during the season. He'll definitely make the playoffs next season...

First off, watch the language, second of all, weren't they saying the same thing about the Cavaliers last year? What if Big Z leaves or something happens. Don't book it just yet when we have 365 days left.

Its been a long struggle this year, all the way from last offseason, when we had to face the said departure of K-Mart till now. But those struggles now looking back only made us stronger. And I know alot of people arent expecting much from Jersey in the playoffs. But upsets were meant to happen, look know futher than the old Mutumbo Nuggets over Payton & Kemp's Sonics to realize anything is possible. Time to make history....

nicely put,Henacy....It's unlikely but i hope they'll be able to pull an upset against the no.1 team in the East...Just like the 94 Nugs...it couldn't get any sweeter...

Hell yeah! The Nets are in! I'm so freakin happy! I can't believe that we turned our season around and are now in the playoffs! Proving haters wrong and now lets keep the Heat series close!

I remember listening to ESPN radi yesterday when Jersey first got in it. People were so ridiculous. Someone said Vince Carter is Jordan in his prime, and the Nets will beat the Heat. I guess people were too drunk partying on the Nets win.

I know upsets can happen (look no further but at my '99 Knicks) but, realistically, New Jersey's chances are slim to none. If Vince explodes like he's been doing lately I still think it's a wrap. Shaq and Wade are something and with role players like the Jones', Haslem, Dooling etc. start stepping it up I think it can quite easily be a sweep. We'll see though.

There's a chance that NJ can win this series. If Shaq misses out the first few games (2,3 or so) and plays reduced minutes in the next few coupled with RJ returning...There's definitely a chance that NJ can win the series. However, I do not believe Shaq will stay out that long, 2 games tops I believe, but I don't even think he'll miss a game, although he might.

Yeah, but wouldn't Shaq be in the same positon as RJ too? So that kind of cancels out and Wade and everyone else is an eastern conference elite right there.

I don't think Shaq and RJ are in the same posistion, because RJ is much more likely to play in Game 1 or 2 than Shaq. It might have to be Wade and co. for the first couple of games versus the Nets. However, I believe Shaq won't miss the 2nd game, not sure about the first though, so we'll have to wait that out.

They let the Celtic Rookies go on a run late in the 4th, but they managed to pull out a win..Congrats to the Nets (who knew a few months ago they would be where they are now) and Good luck facing Miami, if the Nets play like they have for the past month- they could pull away with an upset.
