Nets: Crushing Defeat Raises Kidd's Ire

One of the most soft-spoken superstars in the league shouting profanities at his teammates. What does that tells you? Something's wrong with the Nets camp. This game magnified it.

I personally think it is good for this team. The nets havent been playing well at all. Yeah we had a 4 game win streak going into the Grizzlies game.But the win were against the likes of Orlando, the Bucks, Suns & sonics. I knew that the game vs the Grizzlies was going to be the true test. It was the second game of a back to back. J.C was out with an injury& K-mart played with a minor back strain. We had every excuse to get blown out and we did. The Nets that we have seen the last few years would have used that game as an opportunity to come together & fight(as in play hard on the basketball court). That game was a test of the character of the Nets as a team & they failed big time. I hope J.Kidd called out a few players(Harris & Rodgers). They have not produced at all since they came back from injury. They are surpose to be our two best players off the bench. We need close to double figures in points from both. I think we personally need to make a trade. Not a major trade like everyone thinks were going to make(K-mart for Sheed). No we need to make a trade were we can keep our core together(K-mart,Kidd,&RJ). But still improve the team. I think Kittles & Rodgers in a package deal for a wing player that can create his own sot in a half court set.

Nets: Kidd denies he yelled at mates

All six newspapers that regularly cover the Nets reported essentially the same thing in Sunday's editions: After a 47-point loss to the Grizzlies, Kidd's raised voice could be heard through the door of the locker room at The Pyramid, yelling profanities and challenging his teammates to play better basketball.


"I didn't yell," Kidd told reporters yesterday afternoon at the Nets' practice facility. "You guys just had your ear up on the door. Unfortunately, I wasn't speaking to you guys, so you guys felt you needed to get closer. You weren't in the room. It wasn't directed toward you guys. What I said was to my teammates."</div>
