Reason I love the Nets: I lived in Jersey for 5 1/2 years, and after the 01 offseason trade that got us Kidd I really got involved. I got season tickets for the 01-02, 02-03, and 03-04 seasons, and was amazed at how such a terrible team could go on to the NBA Finals the following 2 seasons, and win their division 3 times straight. Since they got Jefferson from Houston, I knew he was going to be a star one day if he worked on his jump shot and defense. Back then he was a slasher, but now he has matured a lot and can hit the 18 footer. K-Mart was another favorite of mine, but in my mind he still didn't have as much potential as R.J. Kidd really helped the team out, but now they're back where they started: destined for a .500- record, and all because of the stupid new owner, Bruce Ratner.

Reason/s why you're a fan: A lot of my friends are Nets fans and they got me going to games at first when KMart came to town. Since then, I have grown to like them even though my fav. team is the Knicks, but Nets are close second. I have been to every Nets home playoff game in the last 5 years, including the Finals and I am at a lot of regular season games as well.

How long have you been a fan: I've been a casual fan since I was little, but more of a hardcore fan since Jason Kidd came on board.
Favorite Nets of all time: Kenny Anderson, Michael Ray Richardson, Kerry Kittles.
Current favorite players: Jason Kidd, Richard Jefferson, Nenad Krstic.
Reasons why you're a fan: 1. Born and raised in Jersey. 2. I used to love watching their fastbreak offense when Kittles and Martin were still on board. Hopefully we'll see it come back in some form some time soon. 3. The Nets always were underdogs. In the 01-02 and 02-03 seasons, no one expected the Nets to reach the finals. In the 04-05 season, no one expected the Nets to reach even the playoffs.

Why: I started to like the Nets because I wanted to actually have a favorite team. It just so happen the night I was watching a Nets game. Jason Kidd started to be my favorite player, and I loved how they played. The fast pace type game. I especially loved them the year they went to the finals against the Spurs.
