Nets have a "brighter future" than the heat

New age: The Heat's hope rests in the youth of Dorell Wright and Daequan Cook; the Nets' future centers around Sean Williams, Josh Boone, Marcus Williams and Antoine Wright. Edge: Nets.



Cap-o-nomics: The Nets can get under the cap in the 2009 offseason. Unless the Heat can do something with O'Neal's deal, the Heat would have to wait until the 2010 offseason.

Idk, I'm not sure I agree with all this. I mean, the Nets have the 4 youngins, Krstic, Jefferson, and a realistic trade chip in Kidd, but the Heat have Dwyane Wade, along with what could turn out to be the #1 pick.

so true D wade has already shown with the right pieces he can win a ring. Hell with out Shaq they made it to second round and lost to the pacers. We will see what the Nets can do with out kidd before we say anything

I actually have to agree with this. While DWade may be better than any part of the Nets future, collectively the Nets are in a better situation. They have a ton of young players with loads of potential and if they can manage to move Carter and Kidd, they could also have cap room sooner than expected. The Heat however, have a ton of money wrapped in Wade (not a bad thing as long as he's healthy) and a ridiculously amount in an over the hill and underproducing Shaq.

New Jersey do not have a center piece to build around. The Heat do. Miami is a place where flock to. Marion Pietrus Artest and others have expressed interest in playing there. The Heat will have a high draft pick.

Wade can opt out in 2010 and that's when Chicago will have big ben off the the books. That's what the heat should worry about.
