The Nets can use all of the help they can get with Jefferson gone. Jackson obviously will not remain a Hornet for much longer so there are a couple of teams that will try and go after him. If NJ can get him I think they might just might sneak into it as an 8th seed. With Kidd distributing, and Carter as a decoy, Jackson will have more of a chance. Also with much more offensive freedom, he will be able to produce much more scoring that the Nets will need now with RJ gone. Interesting scenario though.
