I think that's the best stat he's got. No details on the duration of this contract, 10 days? Who knows. Either way I'm glad Kidd won't have to play 48 minutes tonight.</p>

I'm not positive about this, but I BELIEVE that teams can't sign players to ten-day contracts until mid-January. Gill's contract would undoubtedly be non-guaranteed, and they'll waive him as soon as Marcus and/or Armstrong are healthy. Since they will waive him, I don't THINK it will effect their cap situation, because I believe that the important figure is the salaries of the players on the team at the end of the year. Someone should please let me know if I'm wrong about this. i've heard it a number of times, but I've never compartmentalized it.</p>

Again, you're really insulting DA, who isn't really a scoring point guard as much as a defensive stopper who can shoot the 3 pretty decent. I have hope that Gill will have more good games than bad ones, but I'm not sure if he'll be as productive as you say. Kidd's advice for him so far is to not try and do too much, just be natural. There will be alot of pressure on Gill.</p>

I was really hoping for Hite. I don't wanna speak for Dumpy in case I misquote him, but I agree that I would prefer to have young, promising talent on this team than people who have proven themselves to not belong in the league.</p>

When Armstrong and Marcus come back, I would expect Gill to be cut, too. If Hite was signed to the team, I wouldn't be surprised if we kept him and brought the roster to 14.</p>

The only cap hits we get are what goes into his pockets, as soon as Williams or Armstrong are ready, we waive him and the only thing that sticks are the paychecks in his pockets. This is not a guaranteed deal. One reason why Keith McLeod is still out there. He's holding out for guaranteed money. I read somewhere that Thorn's already explored that and does not want to guarantee anything.</p>
