<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Nets did indeed have discussions about Pau Gasol with the Grizzlies last week, offering Jason Collins, Jamaal Magloire, Bostjan Nachbar and picks. But Nets’ ownership may have been against taking on another big contract, or the deal may not have been enough for the Grizzlies. Meanwhile, ESPN’s Marc Stein reports the Nets have talked recently about sending Vince Carter to Indiana for Jermaine O’Neal and may be looking at Andre Miller as a piece in a three-way deal with Dallas.

why in the hell do we need O'Neal if we don't have Carter and Kidd. Ridiculous.

Never was a fan of Gasol and definately not a fan of O'Neal.

Next year is the last of his contract...would give us cap space...

Nets have been "maybe talking about O'Neal" for 2 years now, I doubt anything will accumulate.

Maybe its me, but I've noticed a slightly improved Vince Carter: more showtime plays, and a more confident jumper. Don't tell me that once he's starting to show improvements on that ankle we're gonna trade him for a broken has-been

nah it was a couple of plays. Whether dunks or layups, there's been an increase of highlight-type plays that Vince has used to score the basketball. By no means is he 100%, but its giving me faith that he could be on the up-and-up. Ha, I'm just saying lets not trade him for Jermaine
