Yo Joey Fist Pump, I thought the exact same thing when I read this. The Joe Alexander/Chinese/MArketing/assimilation of Yi/NBA-happy internationalizing/we might finally get some calls/adds to the fan base, especially in the NY metro area - theory would seem to fit, big time. So, maybe it is Joe Alexander. hmmmmm

There's no mention of picks involved so that means we're still trying to move up.
</div>
It said the info is just coming in and that players/"other considerations" (possibly picks) are gonna be in the package.

The Nets could be a completely different team before the day is over.

I think there are more trades coming.

This is encouraging because the old team wasn't very good.

DEVELOPING STORY."

I don't know who runs netsdaily (NI?) but this would be worth putting on there for fans who don't visit these forums.

wow, imagine we get their pick as well...
8 + 10 pick for the 2nd pick!?
Riley's possibly looking to trade it..

for a trade to be consummated four hours before the draft implies that there WILL be more changes--and that the pieces received from the Bucks could very well be moved.

That's pretty greedy.

Maybe a swap, though. Or maybe one of the 2010 1st rounders is in play.

Absolutely. The Nets are in a great position with all of their assets and getting RJ off the books was the first domino.

Man, I love this.

This is better than Christmas!

SI said considerations to make it work financially.

Does that include lottery picks?

What a terrible trade for New Jersey...they surely could've got more for RJ, right?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (ghoti @ Jun 26 2008, 03:05 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (soul driver @ Jun 26 2008, 03:01 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Yi is good, but he did miss around 20 something games last season, almost didn't want to play for the Bucks, and is still very young and raw.</div>

Yeah. He's 20 and he's a legit prospect. He was a lottery pick and would be this year as well. Having a year in the league is also a plus.

He also played pretty well for his age and experience level. He wasn't disappointing at all.
</div>

Not to mention he didn't really wanna be in Milwaukee. Chances are he'll be happy coming to NJ, right near NY

There has to be more to this. There has to be draft implications. Why else do this in the 11th hour pre-draft. I'm freakin....and excited. Couldn't get RJ outta here fast enough.

The more I think about it and the more I read your guy's posts, the more excited I am.

I'm guess Vince won't make it past the trade deadline now.
The Nets are officially rebuilding

SIMMONS makes me sick but who knows maybe he will play well...keep Simmons at SF and don't resign boki nachbar.

Least Simmons plays D unlike Boki

Yi is now our PF

Man we got too many PF/C who are similiar

Was Scott Skiles the guy that pushed for Jefferson to the Bucks?

I think it was a few years back when there was a rumour of Deng + Chandler for Jefferson when Skiles was coaching the Bulls which the Nets turned down.

So Deng + Chandler or Yi + Simmons.

Honestly and from the bottom of my heart, no.

This is more than they could have expected. I think the only reason Milwaukee is making this deal is because Yi is so unhappy there.

Celtic Fan, I don't see VC going anywhere. Not sure if they want to let him go/his contract is too tough to deal.

..still, this RJ trade came as a total surprise. So who knows?

I think there's a deadline before the draft for trades. Something like 2pm today, no trades can be announced or something like that.

Yi will help Nets financially as well....the Brooklyn population in 2010 with hopefully LeBron oooooohweeeeeeeeee

PG Devin Harris
SG Vince Carter
SF LeBron James
PF Yi
C Shaq (1 Year 6 million dollar contract)

6th - Danilo? Gordon?

I really don't think so. Wait until you see the finished team before you overreact.
