Doesn't look like there's going to be a game thread.

So, post your comments here.

sorry guys im really really sorry, i was out from school yesterday cause i wasnt feeling well and i had to make up an assignment

No prob.

Good start by the Nets. I like the way Vince is playing. This is how I want him to play all the time.

New Jersey can't do anything without Vince.. what a pathetic team.

How?

Look at how the raptors score the last 7 points with Carter on the bench and the Nets have not scored once. You guys suck. I hope Carter leaves by the end of this season. LOL.. hahahaha..

Can you leave the forum? You never bring meaningful posts, but rather bait members. You are just a waste of time, and no one ever takes your side on debates. You bring stupidity to a thread, and nothing else.

Please do us all a favor, and don't waste our time, reading your awful posts.

Yea your right.

. Now, will you leave?

Why do you guys live in the past, you didn't have half the roster from that team that you did back then. Where's Kenyon, Kittles, etc. Stop being so ignorant. You guys must notice that the only reason why Carter is playing like this is because he's an ex-raptor.

point for point you guys are going to get beat. Carter is going to realize how useless New Jersey is and leaves. What a waste of a talent like Carter.

What a bunch of sissies: the moment you get one ounce of resistance on your thread, nobody posts.

<u>Nets first half stats:</u>
Vince: 24 points, 3 assists
JKidd: 3 points, 8 assists
RJ: 8 points, 4 rebounds
House: 6 points
Moore: 4 points. 3 rebounds

VC with 24 points already and 7 FT attempts. Let's hope he continues this in the second half.

The playoffs? That was before the Nets lost Kenyon Martin. But Carter is playing heated up, haha, he'll prolly beat the Raptors cuz we're his old team, then go on to help the Nets lose the next 5 games afterwards while the Raptors go on to shut the Nets out of the playoffs =P

Good game by the Nets. They played great on the offensive end, but had a couple of careless turnovers. At times they gave too many open jumpshots, but fortunately are offense was great.

I really like the Carter played the game. He didn't force many shots, and was fierce going inside. When he plays like that, it is a good sign for the Nets

Jefferson missed a few open layups, but was explosive as well. Good job RJ.

Kidd 10 pts 8 rebs 14 asts
Carter 32 pts 5 rebs 7 asts
Jefferson 21 pts 5 rebs
Moore 12 pts 8 rebs
Nachbar 12 pts 5 rebs
Williams 4 pts 4 asts

Great overall effort by almost everyone on the team. Vince once in a while attacks the basket, but I don't expect him to do it for the next few games. VC has been playing inconsistent and I'm not saying he is playing great until he has a similar performance of this game for at least the next few games.

Mikki Moore has played Nenad Krstic's role much more than I expected. He played great also. 12 points and 8 rebounds isn't superstar stats, but as long as he pitched in and did his part, us Nets' fans should be happy.

Kidd played great with 14 assists, 10 points, and 8 rebounds. Shy of once again another triple double. RJ played great too. 18-21 points is around where he should be. He didn't rebound the ball well, but his excellent play should make that unnoticeable.

Overall a great game by the Nets to regain first place in the Atlantic division.

This will be my last post on this thread, but I really don't see how Kidd contributes anything to this team without Carter playing beside him. He can't move the ball effectively unless Carter in on the court, now remember I said unless Carter is on the court. This is not Kidd's team, it's Carter's.

and correct me if I'm wrong, but I did not use profanity in my previous post and I thought we could get heated here.

What's the point in saying things and agreeing all the time, when there's more fun in disagreeing and backing up things to say, and since y'all are so trigger happy w/ reporting people, I'm going to definitely be trigger happy and report the lot of you.

Oh great game Carter. You have this way of making Kidd look good.

-> this is "Hypocrisy above democracy" Chris Rock.

So those 14 asts Kidd had were because of Carter? Kidd sets up easy plays for different Nets players. They get easy shots, because Kidd provides them with the set up. Half court or on the fast break, it doesn't matter. Kidd will find any open player on the court. Carter isn't inside Kidd's head saying pass the ball here. He stands and watches Kidd create the play.

Can't move the ball effectively? Are you sure? What games do you watch?

This is Kidd's team. Plain and simple. Ask any person that has the understanding of the game, and they will tell you the same.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">since y'all are so trigger happy w/ reporting people, I'm going to definitely be trigger happy and report the lot of you. </div>

Be my guest.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Oh great game Carter. You have this way of making Kidd look good.</div>

Kidd has always been looking good even without Carter. Even before he was here. Stop thinking Carter is god, because he isn't.

Carter is fortunate to play with Kidd, and vice versa.

It's good to see Carter actually play the game using his head.

Alright Mercury. I'm really happy that our second unit from the raptors actually caught up to you guys, but Carter was really too much for us in the end. I only report what I see. Assists don't win games, scoring does.

The Nets were lucky that both Bosh and Ford weren't playing well, because, I don't know if you watch any Raptor games, but they are a force to be reckoned with, and you'll see this when the Nets play on Raptors soil.

Good win for New Jersey, but you guys live and die with how Carter feels emotionally each game. You definitely won't win if he doesn't feel good, and I'm saying this to stress the important fact once again that you deny: "Carter is a basketball God", and if you take Kidd out, he can still win games without him. Kidd can't, Carter can.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting hollagr8:</div><div class="quote_post">Assists don't win games, scoring does.</div>
That was one of the dumber things I've ever read. The term "assist" implies that someone scored.

The Nets (all of them) showed up to play. Give them credit.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Assists don't win games, scoring does.</div>

Assists helps scoring. Why can't you just admit Carter is lucky to have Kidd? Even Carter himself, says he is happy to be around Kidd. I even remember him getting quoted saying "Kidd makes thing easier for me".

You say that Carter is so amazing, and yet hasn't gone far in the playoffs, or had the same impact Kidd has. Kidd impacts all the players on his team. From Dallas to PHX to NJ. He also brings leadership to the team?

Does Carter bring the same impact or leadership to the team? I don't think so.

Passing the ball to Carter should not be considered an assist. It's an automatic stat filler.

That's just ignorance. Your just bias towards Carter.

And you wonder why we don't ever take you seriously, or even respect you.

He was the leader on Toronto, was he not? Okay, I'll admit that Carter is lucky to have Kidd. You know why? Because Kidd shares the burden of being the go to guy away from Carter. Hey what's the argument here? The Nets won, and we're done.

Please go and watch the Nets play the Raptors again in that game. You'll notice that the Nets can only do anything w/ Carter on the floor. This is not an illusion. Please go take a look Mercury. Carter off the court, no scoring during the raptors second unit run. Carter off the court again. No scoring until he comes back on. This riding Kidd thing really has to stop.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">He was the leader on Toronto, was he not? Okay, I'll admit that Carter is lucky to have Kidd. You know why?</div>

And where exactly did he lead them? Somebody had to be a leader among the team, and that doesn't mean he had great leadership skills. Maybe better than his teammates, but not among the league.

My point is that your bias towards Carter. You won't admit that you are wrong, even if it is clearly shown that you are.

That 2nd unit run happened, because the Nets had their bench playing as well.
