They sign another guard to a TWO YEAR CONTRACT? I swear this front office is allergic to signing guys over 6’9”.

I'd imagine there's at least one guarantee date. Often contracts like this can remain non-guaranteed throughout

If the Blazers have this guy on the roster next year get ready for Tank #3.

Please tell me you all are joking. "Nice Reads", "Not Bad", "Way better" . Really?

If keeping this starting core remains the priority, at least Blazer fans will be prepared for a tank next season. The Front Office PR fooled us with incredible optimism and a playoff narrative with their finger on the tank button approaching the trade deadline.

Disagree. Roster spots 11 - 17, are for depth & two-way players for the most part. The Blazers need to add depth to key positions like PG and center. He looks like a quality depth player. He was going against a very good Kings squad with a great PG in Fox. He played within himself, and showed an ability to facilitate, and score when needed. Maybe he ends up being this years Eubanks.
Nah. I'm sorry but this sounds like Blazer Fan delusion to me. The part I agree with is the roster spots being for depth. If your depth includes players of this caliber you have none.
Look at the Nuggets, Clippers (Oh my), Kings, Suns, Warriors and get back to us. Those teams second units give the Blazers first unit (with Chauncey Billups running the show) a run for their money.

We probably should look at who the veteran short PG/SG upcoming free agents are; that might be our big MLE hard cap singing this off-season.

This guy has played well, are we thinking he could be the LONG awaited backup PG we need?

The Memphis broadcasters mentioned how the G-League players are being looked at by other teams too. It's their opportunity to show the NBA what they got.

We can hope Skylar makes the Blazers, but if Cronin can't move off the Keon experiment, at least Skylar is putting up eye raising numbers with his run in the show.

Moving Keon won't be hard. He makes 2.8 mil. I'd be shocked if the Blazers aren't talking to his May's agent . It's not like Skylar has been playing this well against the others team's end of bench crew. He's doing this against top flight dudes.

I like this guy a lot. More than a solid backup PG who actually knows how to run a squad.

Skylar > Keon
Keon has shown enough that he might be able to make it in the league past his rookie contract.

He is in no way a PG (despite playing that this year). Also, he is a bit selfish... He might be able to become a microwave type player for 10-15 minutes off the bench. All things being equal, I hope he makes it in the league (just on another team).

I also noticed they were talking us up as a whole towards the end of the game. The announcers were really impressed with Portlands effort on the court. One of the rare times ive heard an opposing announcer praise us like that.

I hope he's good enough to be. We've had such a hard time finding a good one lately.

Skyler is looking like a nice but you have to wonder why he wasn’t on a team already if he’s this good. I want to see it when the games really matter. Right now the Blazers are tanking and a lot of the guys have the greenlight to just shoot the ball or to play the way they want to.

Bruh, why did Chauncey the player bounce around before he found a home?

if we keep dame & ant, hes not staying on the team

maybe even if we trade ant, theyre just gonna make sharpe second ball handler

I heard that he was upset at Billups last night?

I like him as 3rd string point guard comes in makes game easier for teammates. He’s Old school pg

But does Cronin essentially say "we got fleeced on the clippers deal"? which everyone knew from the moment it happened

He’s probably the best 3rd string PG I can think of: better distributor than most rookie PGs but will around the same amount as a rookie PG or less.

You can always bring him in when Ant struggles as backup PG. If Mays eventually beats out Ant for backup PG duties because he proves to be a better distributor, that would really signal Ant leaving.

So far, I hesitate to trade Ant because we now need to spend money on a backup PG. If Mays shows he is a Tyus Jones-quality backup, we can lock him up for several years at a really good price and think about trading Ant. I personality can’t imagine Ant going for any lower than at least a 1st.
