Need to buy one for the first time...... Any recommendations here in Portland or does it really matter?

just go to les schwab. thats about the only thing they sell thats worth anything.

Just had a thought though...... It sat for 11 days, ingot a jump and made it home fine last night. Wouldn't start this morning. Sound like a battery or could it be and alternator?

Have it tested. AutoZone tests alternators for free. Probably other places as well.

get it from AAA. If your battery dies, just call them up...tow truck driver will come to you and switch it out for free if you're under warranty so you won't need a jump or anything like that..no need to have to drive to a store, wait, etc.

+1

or buy it anywhere and replace it yourself. Very easy to do.

if you have a maintenance free battery, this won't help, but your fluids could be low. Buy some distilled water and top the fluids in the battery.

Of course, like I said, if you have a maintenance free battery you really can't do that (not sure how many batteries are MF though).

Get a jump and go to Les Schwab. They can run diagnostic testing on the vehicle and find out if it's the battery or alternator.

I haven't had good luck with the BiMart batteries, at least when they were selling Excide (sp?) batteries.

Had Sears install a DieHard a few years back, and it went bad in two days. (They replaced it, but it was a pain in my ass.)

Go Blazers

Black cable to your left nipple, red cable to your right one. Does the battery really need a charge?

Don't really do it, I'm kidding!
