That was a lot of fun. Republicans have provided some excellent entertainment this year.

They lead off with it on their fake news.

That was one of the worst meltdowns in a debate I have ever seen. What was the headline I saw? "Marco-bot Malfunctions." So much for Marcomentum.

Christie was excellent.

Go Bernie!

Obviously, you're not old enough to remember the Kennedy-Nixon debate. That was a literal meltdown, with rivulets of sweat running down Nixon's face.

Bernie is old enough that he probably worked in the Kennedy campaign.

Bernie and Trump will blow everyone else out of the water. Onto Nevada and SC.

Jimmy Carter vs. Reagan

http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/1996/debates/history/1980/index.shtml

Carter performed adequately, but made at least one major tactical error by ending a serious discussion on nuclear weapons with the statement, "I had a discussion with my daughter, Amy, the other day, before I came here, to ask her what the most important issue was ..." Most thought the attempt to humanize the issue, and put it in the context of future generations, simply didn't work, and thought it bizarre.

So, I guess Rubio's 3-2-1 strategy didn't work out so well. How about 3-5-7 instead?

Guess he just didn't understand it should resolve on a major chord...if only they knew! ending with the 7 just screams the blues

It's kinda being ignored, but trump won huge with only 35% of the vote. If everyone but say...kasich dropped out, kasich would have got 60% I'd guess. Trump has no chance one on one with any of these clowns, but the longer they split the establishment vote, the more powerful he becomes.

It's not clear that every voter would flock to the other candidate. If half do, Trump gets 55%.

There's been some polling on 'who is your second choice' and 'would you consider voting for X'. Trump doesn't have much interest from those who aren't already voting for him.

Of course, the polls could be wrong or outdated.

I told you Sanders and Trump's victories would be yooooooooge.
Bernie's yoooooooooge 60% to 38% win netted him 13 NH delegates. Clinton got 15 . . .

Where'd you see that Clinton got 15 NH delegates? I read that she got 9.

http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box...ely-to-leave-nh-with-same-number-of-delegates

Hillary Clinton is expected to leave New Hampshire with just as many delegates as Bernie Sanders, even after he crushed her in Tuesday’s presidential primary.

Sanders had won 13 delegates with his 20-point victory on Tuesday and is expected to raise that total to 15 by the time all of the votes are counted.

Two of the state’s 24 delegates are currently unpledged but will likely be awarded to Sanders once the results are finalized.
Clinton won nine delegates in the primary but came into the contest with the support of six superdelegates, who are state party insiders given the freedom to support any candidate they choose.

I've been thinking lately that we should go to an American Idol format for picking the presidential candidates for each party. Have tryouts for each party in a half-dozen cities around the country. A panel of judges (the 3 from AI are going to be available shortly) handing out golden tickets to Washington Week. At Washington Week, groups have to work together to spin some issue and then get winnowed down to the top 24. Weekly TV vote-offs from that point on until the winner for each party is selected. The winners get $10 million each to use in their campaign and can't take any other money. National election follows in 3 weeks.

I think this format would be far more entertaining and more likely to produce decent candidates than the current mess.

Or maybe we should count votes like Democrats. Just count the votes in Democratic Party leaning precincts.
