Danny Ferry and Billy King are reported finalists for the Nets' GM/President job.

Where's KP?

Ed O.

He is probably still trying to explain to them why he didn't trade RLEC!:devilwink:

No Jeff Bower? There goes my explanation for why he left NO...

Who fucking cares? Ferry rejected the Blazers though, and is now looking at the Nets for chrissakes. Tell me again how Vulcan isn't fucking things up. :)

I don't get it. Is the point of this thread to say KP isn't good because he isn't a finalist for the NJ job?

He's saying NJ is a bad organization for not only giving Travis Outlaw that contract, but for not making KP a finalist. I agree.

I am begining to wonder.......

What if KP's name isn't showing up because he has a severance agreement that contains a "no compete" clause? That would imply that the team had some sort of leverage over him in negotiations.

Or maybe I am just being paranoid. :dunno:

Oh, yeah, I agree. And King as a finalist?

New Jersey, after the whole Kiki/Harris/Legarie fiasco, probably doesn't want to deal with Legarie again. can't say i blame them.

If KP is as good as we have believed he is..........he will land a job the moment he is legally able. Right?

I was sort of tweaking those who honestly think KP is head-and-shoulders above other GMs and that there is NO way he could have been let go for legit reasons.

The Nets' finalists seem like an odd pair. I could live with Ferry but I don't think I'd be at all pleased by Billy King as the Blazers' GM.

I agree with what Chad Ford says

I think Kevin Pritchard is going to sit this one out and wait for either the Warriors or Knicks job to open up.

KP with Larry Ellison would be a crazy duo.

Define "those"? I haven't seen that poster on this board. Perhaps some other board?

I haven't seen you say a single good thing about any available GM candidate.

Would you like to correct the record and say who you put on par with KP? Or admit that some posters (maybe even including you) have been on bulldog attack mode since KP was let go?

Another answer: just re-read this thread objectively and see who's getting their panties in a wad. THOSE are the people who, I believe, overvalue KP's capabilities.

I'll take Cho over Ferry.

Sine this is directed towards me, all I have to say is with that said, you admitted you'd still take KP over the other two mentioned in this thread.

Overvaluing, or just correct that KP is arguably the best GM candidate out there?

Like who?

Like who?

Notice you've gone from "think he's head and shoulders above other GM's" to "Overvalue his capabilities"

Backtrack much?

I am saying that from a position of ignorance. But I will admit it, at least :)

Shaq is a 7 footer.

Shaq is tall.

Is that backtracking? I'm amazed at where your "logic" leads you sometimes.

Ed O.

i think anyone who is concerned about who EdO was talking about, are probably the ones who EdO was talking about.

No he specifically said those that think he is "head and shoulders above every other GM"

Just wondering who said that. He started a thread aimed at these guys. I'd like to meet them.

Please tell me who, of available candidates, you think is a better GM candidate than KP.

I wish I could tell you I was amazed that you played the tedious semantics card.

But it's pretty much par for the course.

BTW shaq being a 7 footer and tall are both facts. Claiming there's a legion of fans on here who said Pritchard is head and shoulders above every other GM and was only let go for dubious reasons is in a word bullshit.
