Could one of the current mods kindly remove my name from the poll? I would have asked sooner, but I've been on the road this evening and just saw this thread a few minutes ago.

I appreciate the support of those who voted for me, but I have no desire to be a moderator of this, or any forum. I have no desire to have any power, or any responsibility over what goes on here. I come here for fun, and being a mod would make visiting this forum seem more like work. Thanks (seriously), but no thanks.

I also wish to preserve my right to ignore posters I consider a worthless waste of my time. I don't suffer fools easily, and I'd rather just ignore those who annoy the hell out of me - especially the attention junkies who deliberately post nonstop negative shit about my favorite team. I almost left the forum earlier this summer due to all the negativity detracting from my enjoyment of this site. Then I discovered the ignore function - problem solved. As a mod, I'd feel obligated to read everyone's posts and that would drive me insane.

Finally, I coach youth basketball, and during the season, I simply would not have the time to devote to being a moderator when this place gets REALLY busy and needs the most attention from the moderators.

Rather than "endorse" one of the other candidates, I'll just say that I think anyone of them (yes, even HCP) would make a great mod. Seriously, this should go to someone who wants to do it and will put in the effort required to do it right. May the best man (or HCP) win.

Hmmm..... that raises a question..... when BNM is removed, what happens to the votes? I voted for BNM, so do I get my vote back?
 
Since the two top votegetters have dropped out (HCP and BNM), I'm going to restart the poll in a new thread (otherwise, those that voted for HCP and BNM would be disenfranchised).
