I dint care what Trump or any presidents thinks about those issues.
But, I did care lot about them and worked my ass off with pride to pay them off. To me its was part of the American Dream in the 50's, if you wanted a house, education and medical coverage, you got a job and did the best you could. My fist house was about $12000. and I saved like crazy on a moderate income for a down payment. I wasn't leasing new vehicles or purchasing $1000. iPhone 11 pro's either.
My parents generation taught me that nothings free and learn to save and work hard and don't expect/demand all the creature comforts of life right away, it takes time to acquire with good decision making.
I've instilled those same values in my kids. One son went to UofO and I helped where I could but he worked all through college.
