His Maryland #23 also is unavailable, occupied by Quentin Richardson. Francis has chosen a number which is familiar to Knick fans everywhere, the #8 jersey vacated by fan favorite Latrell Sprewell a few seasons back.</div>

Francis has changed his mind and elected to go with #1 instead..

He changed his mind, at the press conference they had him and Isiah with a #8 jersey, but since then, he changed his mind and decided to go with #1 instead..

It fits better, also doesn't Qyntel Woods wear 8 anyways.

Not sure what number Woods is, I have a feeling its not 8 though..Is it 6? Cant remember..

Francis is gonna wear #1 so he can think that he is the #1 guy on the team. I guess it'll make him feel better, cause on this team we got 4 guys who want to be the #1 guy on the team so he'll fit in nicely. Problem is, none of them fill that spot well and all of them will struggle as a team.
