1) Isn't re-trying them double jeopardy? I seem to remember that it's not the defendant's fault if the government messes up the case?
2) If you don't want/trust the military, the civilian contractors, or police...who do you have left to fight/protect/enforce laws?

I have friends and family, and The Second Amendment.
Other than being an enormous drain on my income and the #1 threat to my security and freedom, the military, civilian contractors, and police have never had a positive effect on my life in any way, shape, or form.
They've not been tried yet, so no.
Not surprised you'd leap to their rescue though, since you're all about lack of personal responsibility for your actions and decisions as long as you can play the god card. Jesus died so these guys can murder people. Hallelujah!
Back on topic, what are the thoughts of the OP on the contention that the only reasons Blackwater exists are b/c of a drawdown in the size of the military without the requisite drawdown in missions, congress funding it with no-bid contracts (illegal in military appropriations, iirc), and the quick-fix of paying ~450k per Blackwater "employee" (who have no ability to discipline criminal actions) in the warzones vs. trained soldiers and Marines wearing the flag on their uniform, paid almost a tithe of that and subject to both military and international law?
I believe you when you say that you have no anger or hate towards me. I can't judge your heart, and don't try to. Another thing is that it is frustrating, though more of a "fly buzzing" than "anger-inducing", when you spend the time trying to show someone something they don't know and don't understand, only to have it not read, not understood or not cared about.I don't expect that I'd be the center of your universe, and I'm just a few clicks off-center in mine.
BTW, you are understandably frustrated at being unable to justify your abherrent behaviour for profit, but my judgement is sound, I have no anger nor hate towards you, I'm always right and I never lie, and those who truly know me say I am the epitomy of humility.
I'd add "Confusion", as in "not looking for all the sides of the story before accepting someone else's opinion as my own and inviolable". An example of this is when I asked above if this was double jeopardy (hint: attempting to get facts before drawing conclusions) while your bias assigned an opinion to me, and then took it down a religious track that you don't understand in an attempt to...well, I don't know what. I don't understand that part. Maybe you can explain it to me.The only habits I have involve the 3 C's, Coffee, Cigars, and Chocolate.
C'mon Brian, you know very well I have no control over what the Presdident and Congress do. I have 1 vote for Pres and 1 vote for each OREGON Rep and Senator. No vote in the other 49 states or Guam, Puerto Rico, and wherever else we sell voter rights.
I write them, I email them, I try to change other voter's minds by debate (here for example).
Nor am I ignorant about religions, their pawns, whose ends they ultimately serve, and their devastating impact on the state of the world.
But I'm not going to change your mind and you're not going to change mine.
That's what's so frustrating about knowing you're right, eh?
