New wrinkles

I think that the team HAS taken the step to the next level. That level isn't San Antonio/Miami Heat level, but the next group below it. The bad thing about that level is it's easy to fall in and out of it.

A Ray Allen type Vet would be nice off the bench. Not only because he's a great shooter, but he's been there and knows what it takes.

We are way better than the Heat.

Another wrinkle....

All the players are clocking in less than 35 minutes per game

I bet that is only because of how someone posted a letter on here to Terry Stotts earlier this season.

Well, somebody fucked up because their preview stopped at #22 on the Pacers. I've never seen a sports organization do something like that, especially not ESPN. They were releasing them one per day and it's like they just ran out of time before the season started. Extremely bush league.

It's because Bill got suspended for 3 weeks in OCT for his remarks about Roger Godell in a podcast. They wouldn't let him tape the rest of the previews. Major fail on ESPN's part

Ah, that makes sense. Yeah, that's really weak.

That's totally funny! I was wondering why I didn't see him on the ESPN games. I was just thinking he was hiding from the crow

No he's back now. His move from ESPN's NBA countdown came well before the suspension. He does the "grantland basketball show" on ESPN now, which I think is a lot better. I find him funny and easy to relate to. Probably the best NBA guy on that network. I like how he's just a fan.

NBA countdown is very weak compared to NBA tip off and NBA gametime. ESPN really needs to step their games up, no one gives a shit what magic 'I think everyone is great' Johnson thinks.

Also jalen rose is just so unlikable... At least sage Steele is hot.

He posted two interviews recently that weren't sports related at all, but I thought they were excellent.

One was an interview with Lorne Michaels from SNL, and it was very fascinating and fun to listen to.

The other was an interview with Mark Wahlberg and that was really cool. I like Mark Wahlberg.

Something I've noticed, that I haven't seen talked about yet, is that Wes has improved his ball-handling. That was always his big weakness. But I've seen him dribble-drive with better results this season. Granted I have only been able to watch a handful of games, but it was something that I've noticed on more than one occasion.
Of all of our starters I think Wes has done the most to reduce the holes in his game. He was mostly a 3&D guy when we got him, but he added slashing, a post game, and now ball-handling to his abilities.
I know some people always talk about trading him, but I think it'd be a huge mistake. SG is the hardest position to fill with above-average talent, and not only is Wes well above average, but he's the heart and soul of the team. With him constantly improving and never relying on quickness/explosiveness his future is very bright.

He's also developed quite the devastating post up game too!

I agree, he's a player we must keep

Did I miss his preview of our team?

The Bill and Jalen NBA preview stopped at like #22, which is a huge fucking flop in my opinion.
They never really said why they canned the rest of that series but im guessing Simmons had way to much stuff to catch up on after his suspension.
