Aside from a little speed on the base paths, how can Cashman justify replacing a roster spot by cutting Hicks and replacing him by acquiring Allen from Boston.

Allen's career numbers are very underwhelming and we have kids of the farm that could easily provide the same production...yet another Cashman head scratcher.
