Judge gets one over the short wall down the left field line to make it 5-1.

Boone pulling Cole after only 80 pitches?...seriously?....what a fucking idiot.

As Peralta promptly gives up 2 hits and a run.

A dominant Cole pulled after 6 innings and 80 pitches. Overmanaging again by the worst manager in baseball. Peralta was total shit!

Peralta now brings the tying run to the plate...brilliant fucking move, Boone.

I think Boone would be better suited as a pastry chef. This POS was hired without any experience as a manager and has yet to exhibit any sort of managerial acumen.

Yeah, keep chewing that gum, Boone...now 5-3 good guys.

King gives up 2 rockets that were caught before a K and somehow escapes further damage...what a lucky MoFo.

For the moment king saves boones pathetic ass. Like I said for the moment. So pissed that jackass took a game that was over and. Ow you have to sweat your balls off for the win

Unless something was up with Cole, taking him out after 80 pitches was utterly ridiculous. There's no reasoning unless Cole had some sort of issue.

Reporting come came out for cramping. Jesus Christ WTF is that training staff good for?

At least there's a reasonable answer to why he was taken out.

Judge runs thru the rf wall at dodger stadium to make a catch. He is Superman. Really sweating out Holmes in the 9th

No insurance run by Cabrera who I didn’t even know was back up

Ballgame over. Yankees win. Whew. We’ll be seeing that judge catch on sports highlights for the next few days

Needed that one. On to Sunday Night Baseball.

Volpe another Ofer and is batting.188 and defense not good. Time for the yanks to do right by this kid and send him back to triple an and bring up perazza who is better defensively and currently batting .348 in triple A

Volpe has had some moments but now Volpe isn't helping them and they're not helping Volpe. Some time away will ultimately be better for everyone.

When I think of the Yanx' offensive problems I certainly don't think of Volpe...the Yanx are batting .237 as a team for christ sakes, which ranks them 22nd out of 30 teams. And Volpe still has a positive WAR on offense so far and some of his peripherals are still good. He also has a positive WAR on defense and in fact, places 7th out of 53 ranked MLB SSs. Volpe has also been pretty good in high leverage situations as well as "close and late" situations. Volpe is also 13 for 13 in SB attempts

Has he made some errors in the field?...yes (7) but he's also made some incredible plays and FWIW, Derek Jeter made 22 errors in his first full year.

Should Volpe be given some time off on the bench to reflect?...perhaps, but should he be sent down?...no way.

That play could've been a disaster. It kinda looked like someone in the Yanx' BP left that gate unlocked...and when I first saw the play all I could think of is "please don't let him be hurt".

That definitely could've been a disaster. You also would think the Dodgers could come up with something better than that ridiculous fence.

Yeah, he could have easily got his fingers/hand caught in that damn chain link gate and been lost for the year...and as he was falling I was worried that he'd break his ankle/leg.

I was looking at that play again and I didn't notice before but the BP catcher stopped the gate from going even further...and may have saved Judge's bacon.

Thanks a lot, LA...but your a little late !

Aaron Judge injury spurs Dodger Stadium upgrades

The Yankees hope Aaron Judge will recover from his right toe injury soon, but Dodger Stadium will never be the same.

After the Yankees’ superstar outfielder smashed his foot against concrete on the base of the right-field wall while running into — and through — the chain-link fence, the Dodgers reportedly will take steps to ensure that type of injury does not happen again.

Dodgers team president Stan Kasten told The Athletic the organization plans to reinforce the fence, which burst open upon the 280-pound Judge sprinting into it on Saturday.

Additionally, the Dodgers will add a strip of padding to the concrete after Judge injured his right big toe on the play.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said this weekend he hoped the Dodgers or MLB would look into the issue.

“I think all these places try to do their best to make things as safe as possible,” said Boone, whose Yankees played a second straight game without Judge in the starting lineup on Tuesday. “But to me, it seems like that cement at the bottom could be padded up a little bit.”

This team is way too injury prone to succeed. They get three or four guys back just to have three or four go on the IL. It forces guys that shouldn't be playing everyday to be out there everyday. At this point why pitch to Rizzo and Stanton when the rest of the lineup are barely hitting .200 or are below. 200?

This has been going on for years now.
